Hi Jana, it’s a smart move to map out the door opening ahead of time to make sure your laundry room layout flows perfectly. The standard depth of the washer is 31 3/8 inches, which is measured with the door closed; the door opening is not included in this number. When the door is fully opened, the depth increases to 52 11/16 inches to allow the door to swing wide without hitting anything.
