A:AnswerThe SM-G935U is Factory Unlocked. That is what the "U" in the model number stands for. I bought this model for my wife to use on Ting. When I activated it, it would work on both the CDMA and GSM networks.
A:AnswerUnlocked phones are not tied to a carrier. Buy a sim card for your preferred carrier and activate. Can travel overseas and insert local sim card to reduce costs. Carrier bloat ware is not preloaded.
A:AnswerWe just purchased this unlocked version; both of our current unlocked phones were originally ATT models that have been carrier unlocked. The service provider would not provide insurance to our knowledge as we had to go with the Geeksquad plan again. They did not offer the month-to-month payments like they had in the past, instead we paid out right for the additional 2 years of coverage ($164.79) and still have a deductible to pay before the service can be used each time. Why? Because it is not a carrier branded phone, the option to purchase a GS Plan month-to-month is not allowed as it was explained to us when we did our research with them because we can put any sim into the phone and just jump carriers at anytime. Simply put, lack of control on where the phone goes or where it's used US/Overseas. There is no activation fee as the phone is unlocked, designed for you to just drop your sim and additional memory to it, and just start using it. It was that easy for us as we're T-Mobile customers. For others, it may be a different experience of making contact with the Mobile Service Provider and providing IEMI and any other details needed to get the phone added to the network. Not easily done if you're on/under contract; easier if not stuck in a contract. The unlocked version has 3 color options: (1) Black, (2) Silver, or (3) Gold...my wife has the Gold model. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerLTE is true 4G so you are already getting real 4G. HPSA+ is a faster version of the 3G standard. The phone will sometimes go to the 3G network when the LTE network is not strong enough at a specific location but it should roll back to LTE once the LTE signal get stronger. You can set in the phone under the Network mode setting to just operate on the LTE network, which is what I have done to keep it off the 3G network.
A:AnswerAre you serious? Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge? Well, even if you are, I don't see any reason for not being able to do that. That's actually the basic feature of any basic phone...
A:Answeryes. It works. Just put the SIM card in and wait until the phone finds the correct settings. It will get H+ (3G) at first, so you have to reboot it to get the full 4G LTE.
A:AnswerI did not buy an open box Samsung S7 edge. I bought an unlocked S7 edge. There is a difference between the both. Mine was brand new box never opened. Hope that helped you. The unlocked phones have full warranty for one year.
A:AnswerHello! We appreciate your interest in our products. We currently have no information regarding an update for the unlocked S7 to provide. We hope this answers your question and helps you with your purchase decision. ^Rod
A:AnswerI don't think so but I'm not 100% sure. I was trying to test if wi-fi calling is enabled with different carriers sim-cards (apparently it's usually not with fully unlocked phones). I was told by service rep that to test i would need to have sim-card from S5 or newer because the sim-cards are physically a different size in the newer phones.
