You should expect to get speeds around 410 MB/s for both using a 3.0 port
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't done any read write tests personally but if you're comparing spinning disks to solid-state disks it will be exponentially faster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not noticed a difference in speed using a USB 3.0 connection vs. a USB-C connection. (My MacBook Pro has USB-C ports and I have a Samsung laptop that uses 3.0.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure about speeds, just a lot faster than mechanical drives. I also am using USB 3.0 connections. I have one for pc and one for surface pro. To me, speed is worth the price
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s worth it. I can’t give you an exact number, but it should be close to the 3.0 theoretical max. Actual transfer speed is a more a system hardware capability question than the actual max capacity of the port. Either way, it will move very quickly and the security and stability of the SSD put the investment over the top. IMHO, anyway.
