“I have the Sennheiser RS 175 headset and when they are connected to my 55" LG Smart TV you cannot listen on the headset and play out of the tv speakers at the same time. Is there a way to connect these so they will work?”

I've connected them using an optical splitter as I am running multiple outputs. This works on Samsung TV's and I believe if you use the optical out connection, it will work with your LG. Check the settings on screen and select to use both internal speaker and the optical out.
