Yes you can use both , 5ghz or 2,4ghz you can also use hotspot if you have an access account
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just to be clear, with the Sharp ROKU TV's, you can communicate on 5GHz channel, but you will not get 5GHz speeds. The TV's do not support 802.11n or 802.11ac which do allow for speeds from 150Mbps to 1Gbps. They advertise as 5GHz capable, but they're really not faster. And 5GHz has much shorter range as well. Deceptive advertising really. Your smartphones are capable though. Generally, you do not need 5GHz speed to stream multiple devices with out interrupts/slowdowns.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to the manual, the WiFi is Dual Band 802.11 a/b/g/n so yes, it does have 5Ghz. When you connect to WiFi initially, you should see two SSIDs on your network, one at 2.4GHz and one at 5GHz. Select the one you wish to use and start streaming.
