This was purchased for an existing line and there was no problem using it for that purpose.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought mine when I bought a new phone. But it's actually a new sim card. I was switching company anyway and had to get a new sim card. But if you already have simply mobile, why did you buy the item? You will then have an account with best buy to pay each month and then there's tax, but you could just get a plan that fits you at a simple mobile store and pay there with no tax. Hope this helps.
