Rudy, I bought this TV specifically to watch the World Cup on it. I have not seen any distortion in terms of ball movement and tracking. The grass looks great on it and there is no pixalation beyond any restriction by your cable/satellite box (non-HD channels, etc).

Please try again later.Rudy, This TV features Sony's new X-Motion Clarity which uses additional processing to reduce the amount of blur on the TV making it even better than last year's 900E. This will also outperform OLED variants in terms of motion blur. So for sports and fast-moving movie scenes you would do very well with this TV.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Sony 900F handles sports quiet nicely. I am fond of basketball and football myself. Soccer looks splendid on this set. If you encounter any judder you can adjust the "motionflow" and smoothness. I have not had to use it yet myself.
