• Yes...set it up through your avr and tv. If you already have set up this just plugs in you don't really need to do anything

• Bob, by AR do you mean audio receiver? If your AR has HDMI input you can connect the Roku Streaming Stick+ directly to the receiver and get surround sound. Another option would be to connect the SS+ directly to your TV and then optical cable out to the receiver.
