Hi, you can connect it to any tv with a USB port. It will not control your cable channels but, my cable company does have a Roku app I was able to download & use to watch my cable service through.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So just to be clear this is a Roku stick (their is also a firestick device). As long as you have an HDMI port on your TV, the Roku stick will work. And the Roku remote will work to turn on/off the TV. You will use the Roku remote to switch apps and "channels". I also have a Roku stick working with a very old TV via a converter that has as input HDMI and outputs to the three RYW Video/sound connectors on the TV. In this case, the Roku remote doesn't turn on/off the TV but does work for switching between Apps and "channels". I hope that helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't have to be a Roku TV. But it does have to have an HDMI port, and maybe a USB port for power as well. If your TV doesn't have a USB, there should be a plug with a USB converter for a standard, wall-mounted power outlet.
