I believe you can. It apparently appears as a virtual Chromecast device, so you can "cast" the video from any Chromecast-compatible app to it, and YouTube, unsurprisingly, works very well with Chromecast (both are from Google). I didn't know this when I bought the Roku and it isn't a big issue for me since we already had a couple of actual Chromecast devices.
