“TV wants you to select input every time turned on must select HDMI with Toshiba remote, I have Dish so would like to use their remote for all. How do I set HDMI permanently. Also I would like to have paper instruction manual.”

Go to settings and select display and sounds. Go to power on selection. Change your power on to 'last input' instead of home screen.
