If you are replacing a 2.5 inch sata drive then yes this should work. If it’s a larger drive then probably not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. If you buy the SSD drive, you would have to format it to APFS format in order for the drive to be recognized. You would do that in the disk utility on your mac. The drive is the same size as your hard drive inside the mac.
