• It is loud but it is a 7 cu.ft. I can’t hear it upstairs. Buzzer is not as loud as my old Kenmore. But loud enough for me to hear it upstairs.

• Than what? Subjective question that’s tough to answer. It’s quieter than the 15 year old dryer we replaced with this one. Doesn’t bother us with the laundry room door closed.
