• Yes, they are paintable. Wait between coats for the paint to dry.

• First off, these things are awesome. Yes, they are paintable. I had to do 2 coats on mine, but as the Directv installer said, "I wouldn't have known the cord was there if you hadn't have shown me."

• Yes, these can be painted using a latex based paint. It is not necessary to sand prior to painting. Simply apply a primer and apply the paint by using a brush.
