• When I was looking I was not sure what I wanted. Talk to the home theater folks and the lead me in the right direction. The sound quality of the Yamaha is clean and crisp. The product has a lot of features. I was completely impressed with the system and now will continue to buy Yamaha

• The Onkyo s3700 does not support HDCP 2.2. So if you have a 4K TV or other 4K components the Yamaha is the smart choice.

• The passbook of the Onkyo receiver is wider than the.Yamaha. If you are located in a low noise area the Onkyo is better.

• The reason I went with the Yamaha, Best buy did have Onkyo system in a box with speakers and I got the Yamaha system at a good very priced. I had a Yamaha receiver many years ago and I was very pleased with it.
