Disappointing, costly supportPosted .
I used Quickbooks 09 for Mac for two years for my small law office. I migrated to it from Microsoft Money which I ran on Parallels. QuickBooks was surprisingly a weaker product in terms of some very basic functions like reversing reconciliations and the customization of certain reports. In conversations with Intuit sales prior to buying the 2011 upgrade, I was told (via email) that these functions had been improved. Not so. And recently, I've been dogged with a bug that came with its most recent software update that makes recording of time in timesheets almost impossible. Customer support has been lackluster at best. Their solution to the problems is to try to sell me a subscription tech support. Don't waste your money or time. No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Losing focus and getting bloatedPosted .
QB has always been a great application for small business accounting but it has gone from being focused and efficient to being bloated with minimally useful 'features' and a constant nagging to spend more with Intuit by buying upgraded and extended features. There has also been a tendency to change things for the sake of change without actually improving anything. This is especially annoying when you are forced to upgrade every 3 years in order to keep using certain key features. The version for the Mac also seems to be a bit of a neglected stepchild with certain features trimmed or not well implemented.I would recommend this to a friend

This is a ridiculous program. It is confusing, extremely hard to use - I can't even enter my checking account information. It puts in double entries and even after I've paid a bill, the bill still looks like it was not paid. I'm not an idiot either - I have an advanced degree and I've wasted at least 5 hours of my life trying to figure this out. Waste of money. No, I would not recommend this to a friend
