I’ve been using the Razer Huntsman V2 for a month now, and honestly, it’s one of the best keyboards I’ve ever owned. The purple clicky switches are super responsive and give that satisfying tactile feedback without feeling too heavy. Perfect for gaming and typing. The Chroma RGB lighting is stunning. There are tons of customization options through Razer Synapse, and it syncs beautifully with my other Razer gear. The build quality feels premium—solid frame, comfortable wrist rest, and the sound-dampening foam makes the keystrokes feel crisp without being annoyingly loud. It’s definitely a bit pricey, but for what you get—performance, durability, and aesthetics—it’s worth every penny if you’re serious about your setup. Highly recommend for gamers or anyone who enjoys the feel of mechanical keyboards!

Let me start out with I have both versions of the Huntsman Elite V1 Purple (Phantom Pudding ABS Caps) and Linear Switch (PBT Doubleshot Caps). I put the Huntsman V2 Purple (right) next to the Huntsman Elite V1 (left). In this review, I am comparing the purple switches V1 vs V2. I am not going to tell you which is better as this feels like a preference thing, DIFFERENCES: -V2 Wrist is more slanted and fully cushion rather than plastic outlier on the V1. The magnet is also less strong but still works pretty well. -V2 does not have RGB lights around the keyboard (see photos) -V2 keyboard is also more slanted at the highest level of keyboard prop up (see photos) -V2 keyboard has a larger volume dial and is not slanted while the V1 is slanted on the outside. -Typing on the V2 feels like it is easier to press down on than the V1, like an easier press. -V2 Cushion feels softer (probably because no plastic outlier) -V2 has 8000hertz polling rate and feels quicker to register than the V1 (might be a mental thinking thing though, but it does feel like it registers better on the V2 optical purple than the V1 optical purple). -V2 only has 1 USB vs. V1 has 2 USB (1 for keyboard and 1 for the RGB on wrist) -V2 Lighting seems to be brighter compared to my other V1 PBT Cap (note my V1 Purple switch uses the Phantom Pudding caps so it let's light out more on the back of the keys so I compared it with my linear V1 with Razer PBT). -V2 to me the sound is a little louder. The only part that's not loud is when you bottom out, the V2 sounds softer. But the clicks itself on the V2 sound louder than the V1. -V2 feels like it's easier to type with SAME -Material feels the same -Optical Switch but V2 is Generation 2. Honestly can't tell the difference. I feel like it's more about the key press than the switch between V1 and V2 optical. Off Topic: The Razer Phantom Pudding ABS keycaps let a lot of light out because it's clear on the back of each keycap. PBT honestly has a better cleaner look for photos but looking at it, the ABS Phantom keycaps look cooler. Too bad it's not ABS =\ PERSONAL: I prefer the V1 just because I like the RGB lights and I don't like the slant on the V2 keyboard when typing. The V2 is definitely overall better, but I like that it doesn't have RGB around the keyboard for a cool RGB look. Maybe they will make a V2 Elite that adds the lights. V2 is definitely a better investment than the V1 (and the same price if you buy Razer PBT caps to replace the V1 keys). If you like the RGB around keyboard, higher prop, flatter layout than slanted keyboard of the V2, and don't mind 2 USBs, I would stick with the V1. If you look for which is better, that's obvious that the V2 is better.

I originally had a Corsair keyboard, but went back to Razer. First off, i prefer the font of the Razer keyboard over Corsair's blocky look. The lighting, although vibrant on both keyboards, the Razer Synapse software has so much more customizable options. Typing on the Razer keyboard was also much more accurate than the Corsair. I found myself missing keystrokes quite often on the corsair one. On the Razer, typing is fast and responsive. Not to mention so satisfying with the physical bump and click.
