Many appreciate the headset's value for its price and the convenience of its inline volume control. Razor Kraken Pro V2 Headphones When I opened the package, everything was neatly packed and ready to go. However, the first thing I noticed was the wow factor of the Neon Green goodness! Trying on the headphones was real nice, compared to some turtle beaches that I have that tend to hurt your ears after about 20 minutes. I like the over the ear design of this unit. I tested them first on my laptop and listen to some music and watched some videos. The sound was very nice for this level of headphones. Game play on the laptop did not disappoint either. All of the low, mid and high range sounds came in pretty good. The hideaway Mic is a nice touch which adds to the versatility of the headphones. I then tested them on my phone listening to music, while I surfed, and wrote for a while. Same results as the laptop. I then tested them on my gaming PC, playing a few old-school arcade games and some new COD. All of the games I played had outstanding sound. Finally, on to my Xbox One S, for some Battlefield, the sound was phenomenal, I could hear people walking or running up on my which is an added advantage against people who like to sneak attack. I was enjoying playing with the new headphones so much, before I knew it and hour had past. Ears were still good to go. The Pro V2 comes with everything to need to go from Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Laptop or phone in a flash with the included splitter adapter with a Mic and audio jacks for the PC/MAC devices. I would recommend them to friends and family alike.

Design: The Razer Kraken Pro V2 headset has a premium look and feel. The headset seems durable and flexible, especially the headband, which can be bent at all angles and still return to its original form. Although the Kraken Pro V2 is not wireless, the cable is plenty long for my needs, and it is braided, which is a nice touch. Finally, the mic is fully retractable, which makes it easy to adjust and keep from view when not in use. Audio Quality: With clear sound and powerful bass, I would describe the audio quality as phenomenal! Even games that I have experienced many times sound different because I can hear things I could not hear before, and the clarity and bass change the feel of the game. Voices from other players on chat are also clear, and I have been told that my voice sounds clear to them as well. Comfort: The Kraken Pro V2 is one of the lightest gaming headsets I have ever felt. I do not feel weighted down when I put them on, which is a relief for my neck. Additionally, the ear cushions are large and soft. The box comes with circular cushions, which work great for me, but oval-shaped cushions can be purchased separately if desired. Another reason I think this headset is comfortable is because I do not feel like my ears are clamped down, which has been a complaint I have had with previous headsets, but at the same time the headset does not feel too loose, and I do not worry about it falling off. I feel comfortable wearing this headset even during extended gaming sessions. Verdict: These are the best gaming headphones I have used in years. There are more feature-packed, expensive headphones out there, but the Kraken Pro V2 headset is a tremendous value at its price. The high-quality audio and great comfort are the selling points for this headset, and I have been very impressed. I highly recommend the Razer Kraken Pro V2 headset!

This review is for the Razer Kraken Pro v2 Wired Stereo Gaming Headset will be based on using it to play BF1 and BF4 on a PC as I do not have an Xbox One, Playstation 4 or Mac. To begin with, the Kraken V2 comes with large 40mm neodymium magnetic drivers that provide very good deep bass, good mid's and clear highs for gaming. I also tried them out for music listening on my iPod just for the fun of it, and while they are nowhere as good as my Bose headphones, these would be OK for casual listening to music. As for the microphone, it's fully retractable and pulls out from the left ear cup. Others heard me loud and clear when playing BF1 or BF4 PC versions. The audio and microphone are controlled by a small in-line control unit where you can quickly raise or lower the headset volume and mute the microphone. This is a wired headset, and believe me, you get plenty of length on the wire. The wiring comes in two parts. The hard wired part that connects to the headset has a 3.5 mm jack which is 54 inches long, and it also has an extension cable that gives you an additional 60 inches for a total of 10 1/2 feet of cord. The end of the extension cable has two 3.5 mm jacks. One is for the audio, the other is for the microphone. My PC has those input jacks on the front of the computer. You could also plug them into you audio card, motherboard jacks, or perhaps your speaker module depending on your setup. While playing my games, the Kraken Pro V2's did an outstanding job for the microphone, but the speakers is where they really shine. I could hear everything going on in my environment from bullets hitting near me, to the low deep bass of the tanks that I was commanding. I usually will game for an hour or two each day during the week and many hours on the weekends. The Kraken Pro V2's are light and very comfortable and did not feel heavy on my head. The Kraken Pro V2 doesn't offer surround-sound per se, but you can download from Razers website called Razer Synapse and calibrate your headset for a virtual 7.1-surround experience. I downloaded the software and it seems to work just fine for my Pro V2. It offers a graphic equalizer, and optional enhancements like bass boost, sound normalization, and one called "voice clarity. The Pro V2 comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
