Synopsis

Resident Evil: Afterlife
Experience a new dimension in action horror as director Paul W.S. Anderson uses the 3D technology pioneered by James Cameron and Vincent Pace to take movie lovers on a nightmare thrill-ride. It's been five years since the zombie virus swept across the globe, and Alice (Milla Jovovich) is still traveling tirelessly in search of survivors. When the Umbrella Corporation ratchets up the stakes, an old friend turns up to lend Alice a helping hand. Rumor has it that some survivors have found sanctuary in Los Angeles, but when Alice and friends show up they find the city overrun with zombies, and quickly realize they've stumbled into a diabolical trap. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Resident Evil: Retribution
Awakening in a top-secret Umbrella facility as the T-virus threatens to wipe out the last remnants of humanity, Alice (Milla Jovovich) must battle her way through virtual simulations in order to break out of the complex and save the Earth in this fifth Resident Evil film. While the apocalyptic plague rages above ground, below the surface lies a massive base powered the evil supercomputer, the Red Queen, who will stop at nothing to contain humanity's only biologically-enhanced hope that is Alice. While factions in the Umbrella Corporation strive to help Alice escape, the Red Queen unleashes zombies, monsters, and clones of her ex-comrades to stop her. Only when Alice stumbles across a young girl who's been bred to think that she is her mother does the two-fisted heroine find a new reason to live. Sienna Guillory, Michelle Rodriguez, and Kevin Durand co-star. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
The human race's last hope against apocalyptic obliteration is supersoldier Alice (Milla Jovovich), but she's been stripped of her psychic powers. Alice is soon forced to form alliances and rally survivors in Raccoon City for the climactic battle against the Umbrella Corporation and its ravenous hordes of the undead. This sixth installment of the video-game-inspired franchise was written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Alien vs. Predator). ~ Violet LeVoit, Rovi

Resident Evil
The director of Mortal Kombat (1995) adapts another popular video game for the big screen with this gory action thriller. Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez star as Alice and Rain, two members of a commando team assigned to infiltrate the Hive, an underground research laboratory owned by the faceless conglomerate known as the Umbrella Corporation. A bio-engineered virus has been released into the maze-like Hive, turning the facility's employees into mindless, flesh-eating zombies. A single scratch or bite from one of these rampaging ghouls dooms its victim, so the commandos have their work cut out for them as they attempt to reach the Red Queen, the lab's supercomputer -- and their sole hope of halting the spread of the contagion. Before they can complete their mission, however, the soldiers must overcome a variety of deadly obstacles, including mutant dogs, lasers, and a genetically altered beast known as The Licker, whose strength increases with every victim it slays. Alice and Rain also discover that the release of the virus may not have been an accident, and that a cure may exist somewhere in the deadly Hive. Resident Evil co-stars Eric Mabius, James Purefoy, Martin Crewes, and Colin Salmon. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi

Resident Evil: Extinction
Director Russell Mulcahy takes over for the third chapter in the Resident Evil film franchise, which finds genetically altered Alice (Milla Jovovich) joining forces with Carlos (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps) to take down the Umbrella Corporation once and for all. Upon emerging from her hideout in the Nevada desert, Alice is quickly joined by old friends Carlos and L.J., as well as survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke), and Nurse Betty (Ashanti). Now instilled with super-human strength, senses, and dexterity as a result of the biogenetic experimentation conducted on her by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice and the rest of the survivors set out to eliminate a virus that threatens to turn every living human undead, and ensure that the mysterious organization pays the price for their horrific crimes against humanity. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
One of the only survivors of a man-made plague joins forces with a team of private warriors in a bid to save what's left of the Earth in this sequel to Resident Evil, the big-screen adaptation of the popular video game. Picking up where the first film left off, Resident Evil: Apocalypse finds Alice (Milla Jovovich) still battling the living dead who are overtaking Raccoon City, inoculated with an anti-virus by the nefarious and all-powerful Umbrella Corporation (in addition to the virus itself). Alice encounters Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), a former member of Umbrella's internal defense team. Forming an alliance with mercenary-for-hire Carlos Oliviera (Oded Fehr) and his cohorts, this tiny band of survivors seeks out Dr. Charles Ashford (Jared Harris), Umbrella's top scientist and one of the only men with the know-how to find a solution to the zombie menace; however, they discover that Ashford's cooperation comes with a price -- the scientist's daughter, Angie (Sophie Vavasseur), is missing, and he'll help Alice and her partners only if Angie is returned to him safe and sound. Resident Evil: Apocalypse was the first solo directorial credit for Alexander Witt, who previously distinguished himself as a cinematographer and second-unit director. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

There's been many complaints over the years that the Resident Evil movies didn't following the games...GET OVER IT!!! We don't watch these movies for "video game content", we watch them for Milla Jovovich. If you want the best collection of her movies, get this, along with The Fifth Element. Yes, she's had several other great appearances, including "The Three Musketeers", but you NEED to have the "Resident Evil Collection" if you want LOTS of Milla.

Is what it is..6 discs of all the movies in one and has ultraviolet codes for all the movies. The series is good. I marked it 4 stars becaise I felt the distribution company could of did something more special for the series release or did something gimmicky that most special releases get ala steelbook, extra artwork, or a cool 3d display that the Japanese version got. This release is basic as it gets.

This six movie set is a great way to update your Resident Evil movie collection. The best part is, in my opinion, is that all the movies are in one case. Each movie has its own disc. Each one is easily distinguishable from the others. Since it comes with the latest installment and a digital copy of each movie, it's the perfect way to have every Resident Evil movie wherever you go.

If you are like me and didn't have a complete collection but wanted to get it then get this one. The cheaper box set that has the first five films does not have digital copies,it's just bluray. I had considered going cheap and buying the final chapter separately but after some research I realized the most resent collection has the digital copies but otherwise the same special features.

First if you're expecting stories similar to the games then these are not for you. As a huge fan of the games I was disappointed when I first saw part one in theatres. Once you remove that expectation though they are a collection of fun action zombie shoot em up type movies with a few tense/jump scare type moments thrown in every once in a while

Love them or hate them, the Resident Evil film series has spawned 6 films. This collection brings you all six of them together in one affordable box set. They even include all the same bonus material found in the individual releases. If you're a fan of the series and have yet to finish your collection, this box set is the smartest choice.

Six movies plus six digital download codes is a pretty good deal for $45. The special features on all the discs are thin. As far as the last movie is concerned, its a solid 3.5 out of 5 and I am a fan of the series and games. For the average viewer it would be a 3 out of 5. Is it worth owning? As a fan, yes. As the casual user no.

Look, if you're even considering this set, it's because you're like me... and you're into zombies and stuff blowing up. This will 100% scratch that itch. Buying the set has the added advantage of letting you binge through the movies, which makes them feel like very long 90-min episode miniseries.
