      An action-packed and satisfying conclusion!

**POSSIBLE SPOILERS** I thought this was a perfect ending the the series. I'm not gonna lie, I left the theater a bit teary-eyed. It was just bittersweet to see Alice's story come to an end, but a satisfying end nonetheless. After taking this incredibly long journey with Alice through all six films starting in 2002 and witnessing everything she has endured (taking down the Umbrella Corporation, trying to figure out who she is and where she came from), she receives a "reward" at the end from the Red Queen that is completely priceless and makes her the human she has always wanted to be. I also loved the fact that Alice's story came full circle upon her return to Raccoon City and the Hive, where everything began. Yes, some plot points were completely changed from the previous films, but by Afterlife I learned to just forgive the series for the inconsistencies and enjoy it for what it is. There is literally non-stop action from beginning to end, and it was nice that Claire Redfield returned to team up with Alice and defeat Umbrella once and for all. Yes, it was disappointing that Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, Chris Redfield, and other characters from the video games disappeared from the series with no explanation as to what happened to them, but this is Alice's story. Just leave what happened to those other beloved characters to your imagination. Overall, The Final Chapter is an amazing and fast-paced thrill ride, and concludes Alice's story in the best way possible. I can't wait to complete my collection with The Final Chapter and witness Alice's entire story again.

Most movie adaptations of video games usually end in disappointment. Many were quick to dismiss Resident Evil, saying it's derivative and an obvious cash-grab. It was never intended to be a direct translation of the games, but rather a re-imagining, a 'parallel-universe' if you will. While it borrowed plot elements and characters, the series took on a life of its own. Even among fans of zombie films, it was considered mediocre at best. The best mindset to have when watching these movies is that they're themed action/adventures, featuring zombies, rather than expecting a Romero-esque classic. This particular movie, by itself, i imagine the plot would be quite confusing if someone unfamiliar with the franchise were to watch it, but within the context of the films, it provides a resolute and rather compelling finale to the series. If you like any of the other movies, or at least seen them, it's worth at least renting. While the movie itself is great, and the availability of 4K format is attractive, i wouldve liked an option 3D version, I understand it wasn't made for 3D so I'm content with the combo pack as sold. It should also be noted that there are CGI animated Resident Evil movies, and those are more in line with the game, and actually provide a richer narrative supplement to the games.

First off a grip against Best Buy Online, I Pre-ordered the BluRay 3D package, which the studio decided not to sell in the USA. However, Best Buy never never never informed me, nor cancelled my order, but sent me this Ultra 4K package instead. My email shipping notification from Best Buy Online also showed the 3D BluRay package pictures to, but the link brought me to a 4K package. So zero stars for Best Buy Online. They did this to Underworld Blood Wars for people that pre-ordered 3D BluRay package online as well. Very bad customer relations and shame on you Best Buy Online. I don't own a 4K TV but a 2015 LG OLED 55" 3D 1080p TV. Rant Over. The BluRay video quality and sound are excellent. Tested audio with a Flagship Yamaha Aventage 3040 and 9.1 Klipsch Reference 5 1/4 speaker setup with Master Audio setup for the BluRay Player. Dialogue was clear, sound effects very effective. I like the movie Resident Evil: Final Chapter which was more action than dialogue. If this is indeed the end of the series, it was a doozy. It reminds me of the 3rd and last Matrix Revolutions film bringing things to a conclusion. Some of the action felt a little over the top like The Matrix Revolutions film as well. But over all, extremely satisfying. They did leave a little wiggle room for a continuation if the studio felt the itch.

Movie was great and price was great. I'm not pleased with the way they have done the dvd movies now. They are stuck in slots like CDs and make it hard to find thevtype of movies I like without basically having to pull every movie up out of the slot to see what movie it is. They have reduced their selection of movies. Before they had the movies on racks where I could walk up and and scan the movies quickly for the type of movies I like. For example I like horror/zombie movies. Before I used to buy any zombie or movie I saw there and would buy a lot of horror movies that looked interesting from the covers. Now I get tired of looking through each all of them trying to find zombie and horror movies. Whereas I bought one movie normally I would have bought 3 or 4. I tried calling their main office because I'm sure the decision to do their movies was corporate but they kept referring me to call the store. That tells me corporate doesn't care about the customer. I did email the store yet never heard back from anybody from the store so I guess nobody cares there either.

Continues the next morning from the events that occurred in D.C from Retribution. Project Alice(Milla Jovovich) the only apparent survivor from the battle in D.C. Ada Wong(Bingbing Li), Jill Valentine(Sienna Guillory), Leon S. Kennedy(Johann Urb) & Becky(Aryana Engineer) the last survivors at the end of Retribution are no where to be found so I'm assuming they are either dead or have been experimented on. BingBing didn't return because she was doing another movie in China. We do get Claire Redfield back in this final Installment which was pretty satisfying to see. As for Chris Redfield(Wentworth Millar) his where abouts are unknown. Last time he was seen was in Afterlife(2010). Either he was experimented on or dead as well. An explanation would of been nice. Only reason I gave this an average three star rating was because I expected way more cover art that what the final result ended up looking like. The past five films got great detailed cover art. My question is what happen with the last one!?

So, this movie is honestly awesome. I've seen all the resident evil movies and this just like the rest of them that came before it ...this one was full of action. I really enjoyed my weekend watching this movie, i'll even admit that I watch it four times pretty much watched it all weekend to get my fix. I really like the effects they put in this movie mostly referring to action scenes. it's like this movie starts out with action and the action keeps right on until the vary end. I like how it kept me on the edge of my seat all the way until the ending. This movie was a great choice, I do wish that there would have been more gore in it but all in all this was a great one. quality of this movie is a top. definitely was well worth me watching . The ending is pretty good as well. even a little bit of a mind twist in it. great movie.

If you are a fan of the Resident Evil franchise this is a film you shouldn't miss. While there are a few plot holes it does fill in a lot of the missing information from the previous films, such as; who is Alice and why was she so important to umbrella, why did Umbrella even invent the t-virus and what was the true purpose of the hive? You finally get the answers to these and several more questions that have eluded me from beginning. As for this being "The Final Chapter" , the film does leave the door open to a sequel. I guess if there is money to be made we could possibly see another film. Is this going to win an Oscar, of course not. Is it the best film in the franchise probably not, but it is a good movie. As always it's filled with lots of action and I still believe It's the best series based on a video game.

Resident Evil Series / Pop Art Steelbooks

Bought this for the new style, Pop Art Steelbook that the series has ran, another cash grab, but I hadn't even owned one and the whole series in the same style is pretty nice and they were decently priced. These are the greatest films, and while they get progressively worse by opinion. I couldn't help but enjoy them for what they are. This one, I changed my review a little, because after binge watching the entire series, you get to this one where they completely change the history of the films. I won't spoil it, but the decisions they made completely undermined a couple of films, and it felt completely rushed and botched like they were cutting all the loose ends to hurry up and get the reboot started. Disappointing ending to a otherwise fun series.
