The cord is very long, so it does not have to be used right next to the laptop.

Super solid, super cheap. Covers the basics of mouse functionality better than any I've experienced. Have never had a problem with them. Great product.

Inexpensive and Reliable Corded Mouse

I just connected it to a USB port, turned on my computer and it worked perfectly. I prefer a corded mouse, as I have had issues with wireless ones in the past. This one is a good buy.
