I was in a small town in Ohio, I needed a new and better computer, I gave them a credit card with a two thousand dollar limit, and they directed me to another store about 40 minutes away since my computer specifications were a little different and more expensive. It was very quick, friendly, and they were able to help me.
pd: Plus, the credit card has no interest on Best Buy purchases for many months and they gave me 5% cash back

M5 chip is absolutely amazing. Build quality is same as previous MacBook pros. Pro is definitely worth the screen and speakers upgrade over the air. More ram is needed for the performance with the new Tahoe upgrades

As a software engineer, I bought this for the compilation speed and the "silent workstation" experience. After using it for several weeks with a heavy local stack (Docker, VS Code, and multiple Chrome instances), here is the reality:
Compilation & Speed: It turns a 2-minute build into 30 seconds. The M-series architecture is a force multiplier for anyone working in Rust, Go, or Xcode.
Memory (RAM): Do NOT get the base 16GB if you use Docker or heavy IDEs. 36GB is the sweet spot where you stop checking Activity Monitor.
Thermal Control: It stays dead silent. My previous Intel Mac sounded like a jet engine during a simple npm install; this barely gets warm.
Display: The ProMotion 120Hz makes reading code significantly easier on the eyes. If you can afford the Nano-texture option, it’s a game-changer for working near windows.
Battery: Real-world dev use (IDE + Simulator) gives me about 7-9 hours. Not the "20+ hours" advertised for video playback, but still enough to leave the charger at home.
The Catch: Apple’s RAM and SSD pricing is predatory. Buy exactly what you need now, because you can’t upgrade later.
Verdict: If your income depends on your code, this is the best investment you can make.

I’ve been using the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the Apple M5 chip (10-core CPU / 10-core GPU), 24GB unified memory, and 1TB SSD in Space Black, and it has exceeded expectations in every possible way.
Performance is outstanding. The M5 chip handles intensive workloads effortlessly — from Python development and cloud engineering tasks to multitasking with multiple monitors, browsers, and IDEs running simultaneously. Everything feels instant, smooth, and thermally efficient, even under sustained load.
The 24GB memory makes a noticeable difference for professional use, especially for developers, SREs, and power users who rely on heavy multitasking. The 1TB SSD is blazing fast and provides ample room for projects, containers, and local environments without compromise.
The Liquid Retina XDR display is stunning — incredibly sharp, color-accurate, and a joy to work on for long hours. Battery life is equally impressive; it comfortably lasts a full workday with productivity-heavy usage, which makes it perfect for both office and remote work.
Build quality is top-tier, as expected from Apple. The Space Black finish looks elegant and professional, and the keyboard, trackpad, speakers, and webcam are among the best I’ve ever used on a laptop.
This is not just a laptop — it’s a long-term professional investment. Given the premium price point, the overall value, performance, and experience fully justify the purchase. I would confidently recommend this model to anyone looking for a future-proof, high-performance machine.
Excellent product and a purchase I’m genuinely happy with.

I have been aong tone pc user, and was debating between grabing the new asus zephyrus models bc tbey tend to have more power with a gpu- i actually still own one from 2017, full metal chasis very robust. however, after testing these new ones the quality is in the toilet for something $2-3k, all plastic, terrible battery and heat disooation, loud. I tried out the mac, quality is superb- all metal, silent(fans dont tick on for any light -medium stress), 20+ hour battery life, and for officr work- if you have an ipone your alrdy half way in the eco system. Everything works across devices seemlessly from taking notes, emails or conerence calls from iphone or ipad, it all syncs real time over devices. That integration has been a Game changer for my productivity and work flow. This thing actually lasts all day unplugged. From 830am - 8pm. Not having to lug around a 5lb charger brick like the asus and not worry about it dying in 2hrs..I love that. Its powerful, fast. You ca do media, blender 3D renders, office work, or code. So Unless you need cuda-cores for big 3d projects, or want to game like a desktop, this mac can handle anything you throw at it with ease. Ditch Microslop, go to mac or linux in 2026.

Paid about $1700 for this M5 MacBook Pro. I used Best Buy's trade in to get $275 for my 2020 M1 MacBook Air. My version was a returned item with 24GB Memory and 1TB SSD At this price it was an insane value. Performance is snappy across the board—everything from everyday multitasking and browsing to heavier creative work like photo editing, 4K video timelines, and even light AI tasks feels effortless and blazing fast. The GPU gains and enhanced Neural Engine make a noticeable difference, and the SSD speeds are ridiculously quick for file transfers and app loading. Battery life is phenomenal; I routinely get 20+ hours of real-world mixed use without breaking a sweat, all while staying completely silent (no fans screaming during normal workloads). If you are still on a Windows computer, it's because you're a gamer who won't pay for Crossover, you absolutely have to use Windows only programs or you just hate yourself and refuse to change.

The Apple MacBook delivers sleek design, powerful performance, and impressive battery life. Its Retina display offers stunning clarity, while the M-series chip ensures smooth multitasking. Lightweight and portable, it’s ideal for professionals and students. Though pricey, its durability and seamless ecosystem integration make it a worthwhile investment for productivity and creativity.
