Seems like im charging it quite often. Internet signal is slow, no matter what Wifi im on. Screen is big though and its ok for doing my school work. Has a lot of storage.

I bought this at a great price. It’s everything I needed in a laptop

I brought this laptop on sale for my teenage son who is a freshman in highschool. I was able to install virus protection through my ISP since it comes with my subscription. I had to inform my son that it's not a gaming PC because he plays Minecraft on it but with lowered graphics. Other than that, he's able to log on to the school websites and create and complete assignments. The computer is very responsive to the mouse and keyboard and he doesn't complain about it being slow. The computer is lightweight but I kinda wish I would have gotten him something like a surface pro for better mobility.

very fast and does everything I need it to do.the Cortana voice is nice for those needing help with finding things.will probably buy one for my daughter as well.

Bought this to complete online college classes. Works perfectly and great for the price. I do wish the battery lasted longer but it was priced perfect!

After I opened up the computer, I REINSTALLED Windows OS and UN-INSTALLED the built-in HP bloatware. I cannot recommend this enough: get rid of the bloatware. It's been about a month and it still runs smoothly. This computer also has TWO slots for RAM. I plan on adding more and maxing it out at 16GB of RAM. Apparently, the HDD can also be swapped for a SSD, which would make it an even faster running machine. I've been able to run PhotoShop as well as various word processors without an issue. Some games run well too, even though some of them are older. I've always used Macs; this was my first Windows PC in well over a decade and I'm enjoying it. Overall it's a pretty good machine.

Easy to use as well as set up. I bought this to just use the internet as well as watch Netflix occasionally. Not too bad for the price I paid.

Purchased this for one of the kids for Christmas. I did not expect a lot based on the price but as it turns out this machine does not disappoint.

Bought each of my kids one for their internet gaming. It’s well worth the price and is great for my kids’ gaming needs with Minecraft and Roblox.

This lap top is a great starter lap top for young children or first time computer users...fast...great memory...excellent overall performance

I was going to buy an external CD/DVD drive for my Dell laptop, to re-import all my CDs at higher quality. (hundreds of them). This laptop was on sale for $209 at the time, so I bought it instead. (it has a CD/DVD built in). It as performed beyond my expectations for a $200 computer. The screen is bright and clear, and it seems well built. I'm about halfway through importing all my CDs using iTunes, and it's worked fine, often importing at 15-24x speed. It has software preinstalled to play DVDs. The sound is acceptable when listening to YouTube. Comes with a month free trial of Dolby Atmos for headphones, which I've enjoyed. Can't speak for battery life as I use it plugged in 95% of the time. Initially it had a problem with a Windows update, so I reset it back to new and started over, its been flawless since. I have a much higher spec'd Dell laptop, and obviously this isn't nearly as fast, but its acceptable for what I'm doing with it. At $209 I highly recommend it.

I got this for my son for Christmas. I blanked out during setup and I was very disappointed. Returned it to Best Buy to exchange it and this one is working great. Am happy now.

I've purchased so many different desktop and lap top computers over the years that ...well. let's not go there. Having said that, please note that I am not an expert in computers nor am I tech savvy. I decided to purchase the HP - 15.6" Laptop - AMD A6-Series - 4GB Memory - AMD Radeon R4 - 500GB Hard Drive because I needed a computer I could use exclusively for work-related functions (human services field), separate from a recreational at-home computer, constantly bombarded by glitches from the use of non-necessary apps/ excess storage-consuming programs (e.g., Apple ITunes; gaming apps; malware programs; and other apps that interfere with each other). If not for the huge discount (affordability factor) on this computer, then I probably would not have purchased it to be honest, because my other laptop is great - although having a separate computer for work-related functions is better. I've owned this computer for approximately one month, and thus far it has performed satisfactorily regarding work-related needs (e.g., access to internet; basic word processing; adequate file storage; adequate processing speed; preinstalled apps). However, the sound quality of the built-in sound system is subpar - barely audible in the presence of other background noises. This is not a problem since I do not listen to music on this device, but it might be an issue for others who frequently use audio/speaker system - requiring a "decent" sound card. Just like any other computer, it took some time to adjust to the "feel" of the keyboard, but other than that it is fine in terms of key placement and touchpad "feel" and function. The only issue/problem experienced thus far occurred during a written Microsoft word file - computer stopped working all of the sudden, shut-down, rebooted, and I lost information - although the computer attempted to auto-save I still lost data that had not previously been "saved." This has happened quite a few times with HP and Toshiba computers, but I'm guessing it has more to do with a glitch in Microsoft word than the computer (but I merely guessing - not my area of expertise).

Laptop was a good price. Bought it for retired parents just to check emails and surf the web. Nice basic laptop and easy to operate.

This laptop is great for school work and web browsing. It is not a powerhouse but will get the job done for a college or high school students working on homework.

Unless you're just one of those severe deep hackers this computer will be all you need it's got the speed it's got the memory it's got the ram and as far as USB ports are concerned you can always add more but it does have three and it's got the HDMI Jack it's got Bluetooth it does everything I need and it has a speed I needed to be. I really wasn't paying attention but it does have a DVD player in it which I don't really need nowadays but it has come in handy. Yes this is a machine that you'll enjoy

There were better deals last year but for the money the best middle of the road laptop out there.
