This by no means is a bad laptop, but it isn't the best either. Although it's a little slow at times, and restarts itself for no reason, there isn't much wrong with it. It's great for a student, but if you are trying to do a lot more with it, then this probably isn't the laptop for you.

This has served as a good PC for my child for doing homework but it runs a little slow. Thats the only reason 5 stars were not given. This PC is a good quality PC and has sufficient power for the things that it was purchased for.

This is a great computer for the price. I had some issues when I took it out of the box with the fan constantly running on high and the battery not lasting longer than an hour. After about a week or so of using the computer the windows system was updated and now it runs great..

Great computer for the price! Very fast, enough memory for what I need and 3 usb ports make it easy to use wireless mouse, charge my phone and connect an external hard drive

This is a solid and affordable laptop. No touch screen so it's not a 2 in 1 but it has good specs and provides a good value. That said, if you are looking for a touchscreen and/or 2 in 1 capability there are affordable options out there

Great starter laptop... little slow on the internet.

I have been using it as a secondary laptop and it is great for word processing and internet surfing. Found it's performance was insufficient for many of my games. A good example is Cities Skylines took over an hour to load a saved game. I added an additional 8 GB of memory (now has 12 GB) and the same game loads in about 90 seconds and plays smoothly. Ultimately a nice laptop for daily use, but the additional memory made far better. Note: The installed Memory in mine was a Samsung DDR4 4GB module and there was a second empty space in the laptop. I ordered a Samsung 8 GB module and it integrated perfectly. Note2: Adding the additional memory required disassembly of the lower half of the laptop (may invalidate your warranty), there was no easy access panel to add the RAM. Note3: Best Buy does not sell DDR4 DIMS for the laptops. Had to purchase it from another source.

For the money I was willing to spend this computer is a great buy. On sale, I think it was $230. I have enjoyed hours and hours. If I was looking for super fast performance I would expect to pay more. I do email, YouTube and read the news. I would buy again.

Really nice laptop from HP with cool features!! It was easy to use and met our requirements for the work. My assistant loved it. Also for such a low price!

Very happy with purchase setup was a breeze. I will add more memory just because the more the better! Performance is good, plenty of usb ports, hdmi & memory card slot. It even has a bray, dvd drive! This was a Christmas gift for my wife she very pleased.

If you want a cheap computer with a large hard drive, a dvd drive, sd card reader and ample usb slots that is not too heavy and good for basic computing this is perfect. I bought it because we didn’t have a personal computer anymore and certain things you still cannot accomplish on an iPad -for instance I wanted to set up a Retropie raspberry pi gaming system. The only way you can do that is by flashing an sd card with a downloaded image and this cpu works great for everything with that project. I took some reviewers’ advice and before doing anything with the cpu did a fresh install of windows 10 to remove bloatware and installed a low impact antivirus program. Doing that computer functions great! Highly recommend for what it is -basically everything else I was seeing was either refurbished or a chrome book in this price range which was not what I needed.

Very slow computer. On switch is not convenient and you aren’t sure if the computer is on or not. Has a lot of bloatware. Takes a long time to boot up. OK for word processing but that is about all.

This laptop is good for students taking online classes. It has a good amount of storage space, but it is slow. But over all for the price I payed for it, it's worked fine.

Bought this because I needed something for a computer class I was taking. Very basic, battery doesn’t last long and takes a few minutes to process. If you need it just to do basic operations it works good.

I love my laptop, the salesman was excellent at finding it for us. I use it almost daily for about 10 minutes at a time and the only thing that I've found is that the battery dies pretty quickly and I have to put the laptop on the charger.

The Hp is new to me, but seems to have descent capabilities. I will have to increase RAM so it runs a little faster. I don't use it much accept to research or look at a DIY repair or just play solitaire so it suits my needs just fine.
