Somehow boots slower than the one it replaced

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perhaps I'm just cursed but somehow this laptop boots slower than the one it replaced, which was a Dell from 2011. The other day, I think I waited 30 minutes for Windows to let me log in from a cold start and another 10 or 15 for Chrome to load my mail. Once it decides to run, it runs OK but it makes me think back fondly on old early-gen Pentium laptops I've had that just started right up and did their jobs.

Great laptop for the price

Grandson Gives it a High Rating

Good computer for the price

Not bad for a websurfer/email machine

Out of the box, it was slow and bloated with vendor stuff. I immediately did a clean install of windows 10 which went smoothly and performance was much better. Overall it has been dependable and does what is asked of it reasonably well. I would have given it 4 stars, but after all, it is not a powerhouse.
