decent word processor but BIOS corrupted in 18 mo

Was able to handle multiple applications (Word, browser, photoshop etc). Didn't do any gaming on it. However, some people complained about the curser jumping around and even after researching how to stop it, it still did it and would create havoc, especially if you had a pop-up screen open. Could never get it to stop jumping around and sometimes would close out screens. Now, after 18 months and me taking very good care of it, it froze up during a BIOS update and never recovered. I get power, but the screen won't turn on. Have tried to do multiple options for BIOS recovery with no luck. An external monitor won't even work. Also, the keyboard felt very cheap and didn't have backlight, which I thought wouldn't matter but I think I need it. And after a while it did start heating up more than I would like. I guess now this may get scrapped for parts if I can figure out if anything is worth saving (will keep the DVD drive and make an external drive).

Good value PC

It was relatively inexpensive and has been working without any problems. It boots up almost instantly. The solid state hard drive is smaller than the traditional hard drive but has plenty of space for me. Has Blue Tooth and a disk drive as well. I like it!

Pretty sweet deal

It has pretty much been delivering what it promises and I like the HP assistant. I just wish HP provide more trial software for longer periods of time, when I am shelling out this much money they could at least offer a 6 month trial of Microsoft Office.
