I purchased this laptop for my computer science major niece for Christmas and she LOVES it! I did not want to spend too much money, but I wanted her to have a decent laptop. It does not have all the bells and whistles, i.e. touch screen, 3 in 1 laptop to tablet, but the RAM, the processor, etc is good for a student. It will get her by at least for the next 2 years as the last one with all the bells and whistles. She is thrilled, so I am thrilled.

This is the first HP I have ever purchased and am completely satisfied. It is fast, the touch screen is a great feature and the battery life is excellent. Very good product for the money.

Needed to have a DVD/CD player for some textbooks. This limited my choices. Went with HP for reputation and cheapest option for the features.

Of my last three laptop purchases, this is the best of them all. Speed is great, resolution is fantastic and I was up and running, having transferred my profile from the old laptop to this laptop in one evening. I never give 5 stars because all products can be improved, but the quality surpassed the cost of this machine. No regrets.

We got this laptop to use while traveling for work. The larger screen, memory and hard drive size sold us. There was a slight delay on booting up but not too bad. Had some difficulty locating a slim sleeve/carry case for it that wasn't to bulky/oversized in order to take it on the plane. Otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars

Perfect size screen 17 1/2 inches, just right for my old eyes. I love H&P products.

Getting i5 for this price is great. Only complaint I have is about the finishing of the laptop. It's grainy, not smooth.
