I saw this film in the theaters when it was first released. I was 17-years-old and, even then, I thought it was a big loud mess, but with some very funny moments. After watching it again, it's definitely a loud mess with very few very funny moments. However, it's interesting and mildly entertaining minor Spielberg. The cast is great and the look of the film is beautiful for its time. The Blu-ray has some decent extras, so the four stars is for the overall package. If you go in not expecting a masterpiece, you may just enjoy this even if you realize it's far from great.

Probably one of the least known Steven Spielberg movies. His attempt at humor and it was quite funny. Especially if you like the World War II setting.

This movie it's maybe the weakest of Spielberg films.But I still feel it's a decent one.

Spielberg's first foray into a comedy/musical is well done, if a bit long. John Belushi's wild performance as a crazed fighter pilot is quite memorable. The scene of Ned Beatty attaching a Christmas Wreath to his door only to cause what's left of his home to fall into the sea is hilarious.

This movie has an incredible all-star cast for a comedy. Belushi, Aykroyd, Robert Stack, Ned Beatty plus a dozen other popular actors from the late seventies. Slim Pickens is the highlight for me when he confronts the Japanese in a submarine.

"1941" is a great classic comedy. Love Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi in it. It great that the Blu-ray includes a extended version of the film too.

Classic Movie that is always worth a watch. Many great actors/actresses. Highly recommend it.

The Blu Ray version adds such more quality picture as well as sound. Better than I expected. Also, the Theatre version as well as the full length with all the deleted scenes. Great buy.

I had this movie on VHS years ago and was so glad when I found it on DVD. If you are a John Belushi fan this is a must for your collection.

The film is great. The quality of the film sucks. Nothing to do with the dvd itself, it's the film. I have the film in regular dvd resolution and the quality sucks. So, I got it on Blue Ray, and the quality still sucks. Somebody call the producer!

This is a great flick. Wanted to upgrade from the VCR version I had
