The big difference is that Best Buy is selling an accident protection plan, while nearly everyone else is selling an extended warranty. An accident protection plan covers mishaps, where an extended warranty covers issues with workmanship that you somehow didn't notice during the manufacturer warranty period. I have kids, so I know which of those two is most likely to be an issue. Even if something did go unnoticed, it would be easy for an extended warranty to blame it on the scuff marks I sure these portable systems are going to receive in my kids hands. After all, even though my kids have miraculously not dropped theirs yet, I see adults drop and break cell phones all the time. If you're buying electronics for kids to use, this is your best bet.
