I can’t say enough great things about my Geek Squad Protection Plan! It’s been an absolute game-changer and one of the best decisions I’ve made for my purchases at Best Buy. Knowing that I have access to the amazing Geek Squad team gives me complete peace of mind.

Geek squad is incredible! I had never purchased it prior to my children breaking 4 Nintendo Switches. I finally realized how stupid I had been to not use this service! I could have saved myself SO much money! Since my last Nintendo switch purchase I have brought it into geek squad once so far, and they were amazing! There was an issue with my sons switch’s headphone jack, they took care of it so quickly and were so knowledgeable! I will never purchase another product again without getting Geek Swuad protection, it’s a no brainer! It will literally save you hundreds (thousands in my case had I gotten it on my first Nintendo switch purchase) of dollars and give you peace of mind that you and your devices are in good hands! And I’d also like to mention how nice, kind and professional the Geek Squad team is!

This game was a gift to my son for his birthday and the protection plan was a great addition to make sure he can enjoy it for years to come!!

Haven't had a need to use the extra service yet. But it is good to have peace of mind because the game console is used by kids who may not be very careful with it.

Best Buy charges nearly the same as Gamestop for a protection plan. The big difference is that Best Buy is selling an accident protection plan, while nearly everyone else is selling an extended warranty. An accident protection plan covers mishaps, where an extended warranty covers issues with workmanship that you somehow didn't notice during the manufacturer warranty period. I have kids, so I know which of those two is most likely to be an issue. Even if something did go unnoticed, it would be easy for an extended warranty to blame it on the scuff marks I sure these portable systems are going to receive in my kids hands. After all, even though my kids have miraculously not dropped theirs yet, I see adults drop and break cell phones all the time. If you're buying electronics for kids to use, this is your best bet.
