I suggest the three years warranty. I made the mistake of buying this instead.

I purchased a device from Best buy in February of 2024 my device. I got the 2-year warranty and insurance on it as suggested. A little over a year after having the device it started having software issues and system errors and crashing overheating battery draining and once being brought to geek squad to look over I had to pay $ $158 plus tax so it came to about $168 to basically have my phone replaced even though I didn't do anything to break my phone. They could not give me a new phone in the store and said they had to mail the phone to me and now it was supposed to get here 3 days ago and so hasn't here and I can't track the shipping because they don't give you a shipping or an order number so that you can actually track it.

The protection plans are costly and almost 1/3 of the phone price

Agents put on my phone cover and screen. They assisted me in all the questions I had.

We had to have a repair for Pixel 6. There were none in store so we got upgraded to the Pixel 8.

Purchased a Motorola Rzr 2023 that folds. Had the phone 9 months and 15 days and the screen was damaged due to the folding of the phone. Took it to Geed Squad, they couldn't repair so they refunded the cost of the phone. But kept the $179 that the protection plan cost even though I only had it 9.5 months.

Get it you wont regret it. Ive used Geek squad for 10 yrs!

Great idea in case your phone breaks so you have a quick back up.
