I always get this service on my electronics. It is gives me good peace of mind that I can get a replacement if it breaks. The replacement will often be a refurbished device, so the battery life can sometimes leave something to be desired. That said the devices are always in great shape and look and run like new. Ill take an old battery in a new computer over a cracked screen any day of the week, so this is well worth it.

Installed on my own and it was very simple satisfied with product.

I havent used them in a while but last time i did they got the job done

I have not needed to use this yet but I got it for peace of mind.

Its worth it but also not worth it. If ur sure nothings going to happen to your computer than its worth it such as not drinks and such near it. And it sits its 1 place and u dont carry it around or rought it up not worth it but its worth it when somthing goes wrong so its hard to say for sure if its worth it. But its truly only worth it if somthing does go wrong. Its like a expensive gamble lol. Im going to be using them to fix somthing w On my laptop i judt bought here soon so ill update this review once that happens.

The agents sent out my laptop to be fixed, but as it was going to be more expensive to repair than was worth it, I was refunded for my laptop instead.

I never thought the computer I bought for a summer class would start giving me problems less then 2 months into using it. Granted it was a new product so it was bound to have some problems. Having Geek Squad production plan helped me to get nearly $1700 back to me in a form of BestBuy gift card. I was able to use that money and buy accessories for my camera I had just purchased a little before my computer for the fall semester. I worked out for me because I was about to struggle through the last 4 weeks of class and then got to get my money back and spend it on stuff I needed for school right after. I felt like Geek Squad really helped me save a lot of money with their 2 year protection plan.

Protect your gadgets please. If you’re purchasing laptops, televisions, washers, and dryers it’s best to make sure your investments are protected. Geek Squad is awesome at what they do!

It’s always nice to have that security of having the geek squad help you with any issues you should have with the computer processor, etc.

The plan he was referring to was this one. It's a protection plan, not a replacement plan. It's worth it to some customers more than others, if you look at it as just spending an extra $300~ then obviously you wouldn't think it was worth it. But when you look at all the benefits you get with the plan it justifies the price a lot better

It gives me peace of mind knowing that if I encounter issues, I have someone to call to take my computer. That alone is priceless, thank you, Best Buy.

I bought the GS service b/c I purchased a laptop. I appreciate making appointments online; though at times, there still is a wait in a queue at the store. Nonetheless, when it is my turn the techs are focused on me and my item. I find the GS knowledgable; they have helped me when most panicked.

Always buy the protection plan it is worth every penny. 10/10

Be Careful guys, Ever since the brought this Total Tech, or what ever they call it now, when you buy something, they try to push is Total Tech thing instead of their regular warranty. Regular warranty in my case was a 3year warranty for a laptop and the total Tech program is only for one year at 179.99+Tax. Almost double of what the 3yr is alone. You'll pay almost double the price. 3yr warranty price totally worth it IMO.

Decisions, decisions, decisions well overall I knew I had either a choice for my big purchase for Geek Squad assistant or for warranty for one year. Well I decided to get Geek Squad for several reasons. Here's a few of them Geek Squad is the foundation of me setting up my laptop. Before I have to worry about dropping it or having it get water spilled on it I feel I need definitely tech support much more times that I will need to worry about a warranty knock on wood! They really helped me coming out the gate to work with my laptop immediately! I'm very happy with the service I'm very happy on how fast they worked and their professionalism! This was definitely worth my money!
