I worked for Best Buy during college, so this is a biased review even though it has been more than a decade… I greatly appreciate the Geek Squad. Because they’re not salesmen, they genuinely do try to help everyone as best they can. My recent experience with Geek squad, as a wedding photographer, my primary camera started acting up 2 days before a wedding. If I had to send it in to canon and let them work on it- I wouldn’t have had it back in time to shoot the wedding and would’ve had a major challenge on my hands to rent a camera in time- it just wouldn’t have been possible. As I the geek squad guy told me they would have to send the camera off for repairs, my heart sank. I explained that I really needed a camera to work otherwise I was going to be royally screwed. In order to save my rear end, the Geek Squad guy returned my camera, and I was able to buy the same camera to replace the original and repurchase the Geek Squad protection. I have ALWAYS loved that about Best Buy- replacement plans and service plans are VERY WORTH IT for expensive electronics! Not so much TVs - because generally if the TV works fine out of the box, the product will outlast any protection plan that you buy, but iPads, cameras, computers- I wouldn’t recommend purchasing those without the plan(s). Thanks Geek Squad for covering my hind-parts!

It’s actually a pretty decent and good insurance I’m not going to lie so I do recommend this.

Great entry level camera. Battery life is good and there are too many features to mention

Always a good idea to buy insurance for your products, especially if you want to keep them for a long time or go on vacation with them

I Think When you Buying the product costing 2k . You must get this protect.

I am so happy that I have Geek Squad protection. Every interaction that I have with the Geek Squad representatives are kind, professional and work hard to resolve my issue. I have been purchasing this protection for my merchandise because you never know if you may have an accident weeks, months or years from purchasing the item.

I got a new sony camera and I love it so I had to protect it against accodental damage.

It always good to have some plan to protect your electronics for accidents

IM WRITING THIS REVIEW TO WIN THE $400.00 aside from that, im a rookie "photographer" who is barely playing with the Manual mode vs Automatic. Lots of videos on youtube later, Manual mode is getting better. Great starter camera, enjoy the quality without me doing anything really. LIGHT SOURCE IS IMPORTANT> recommend u get a flash that goes with this camera. Dont spend more than $150 bucks on one. Other than that. wish the battery wasn't soo expensive. but yea... GREAT CAMERA! wish i had $400.00 to spend on more lenses or gear :) good purchase. all jokes aside,
