I get geek squad protection on all of my items. I am a former Best Buy employee, and I never understood why people would think its just an extra thing we try to push on them. I no longer work or am associated with Best Buy and I still make sure to have it on every item I purchase. Its always great to have the peace and mind that when I make a large purchase, if anything happens to it early on I am covered and dont have a large out of pocket expense going down the drain.

I bought a Polaroid camera from Best Buy a few months ago and I love it. It takes almost no time to charge, takes great pictures, and even has a timer mode. I'm in love with this camera.

Definitely worth getting the Geek squad services, their services outweigh the cost.

I had issues with an online purchase so I went to a Best Buy store and the Geek Squad was able to return the camera I bought and let me rebuy it, using all my gift cards and reward certificates. There was an issue with the return going through and said it would be an hour or so before it showed up on my account so the agent told me I could go home and he'd call me when it went through. Sure enough, he called me at home about an hour later to confirm! He went above and beyond!

What can I say? It’s insurance price is OK glad I have it. Hope I don’t use it.

Great starter camera if you are on a budget. However, I would recommend saving your money for a camera over 1000 bucks. This is great for Youtubers at home or flogging. Wouldn’t recommend doing any videography or photography work. Unless you’re doing it for a hobby

I'm always skeptical about warranties. I hate third party stuffs. I bought this extended service plan or warranty in hopes that if my camera defects or gets damaged I will be helped without any hassles. I will give a good ratings now cuz they explain to me the warranty in a manner that I could understand and I feel that I will be helped when I need. I just hope I don't have to jump through hoops to get help on a warranty.

I recommend protection plan for everything you buy, just to know your products are protected is a sense of relief

Accidents happen. Period. I usually don't but accident insurance or extended warranties. But I am practical. Consider buying these types of coverage if you expect to be using your device more often than it just sitting in you bag or displayed in your room. Another words, if you intend to use your device often, buy it. I think Geek Squad offers some good perks like yearly check ups or inspection. If the device fails to perform, they'll make it right. What more can you ask? You may or may not end up using the service, but its comforting and a relief if you ever should have to.

Yes I did not need this service but appreciate Best Buy keeping these chill dudes around

I bought Sony ZV-1 M2 online and decided to purchase Geek Squad protection plan. Per the online info I had to bring the camera back to the store.... and actually it was no hassle I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Having said that, hopefully I'll never use it but just for the peace of mind...

Used geek squad protection for my laptop in the past and it was a life saver! Don’t wait until anything breaks, get the insurance with the device purchase. You never know what will happen! I just came to Best Buy told them my laptop was broken and it was fixed in 2 weeks and I didn’t have to pay any extra money.

I've purchased their protection in the past and haven't been disappointed with it yet.
