I haven’t had to use it yet but because electronics have their issues out of the blue I am glad I purchased it knowing things will be covered and I will be stress free.

I bought this and hope i never have to use it. But i have peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong, i can just go to my local Best Buy and dont have to deal with the manufacturer which often results in lengthy delay and repair turnaround.

Always need protection on any electronic device. Of they can’t fix it, they will replace it.

I have yet to utilize my 2-year Accidental Geek Squad Protection Plan, but it does give me peace of mind knowing that the "Geek Squad" will be there if and when I ever need them. I also had to write a review before my 25 point incentive expired so...

My Nintendo Switch was broke. It made a geek squad appointment, walked in, gave the man my switch. He determined it was broken and I got a new one. The protection plan I had purchased covered the cost with one caveat. It was about one year and a week when I brought my broken switch in. I had purchased a two year plan. They had to cancel the rest of my two year plan (almost a year left) and charged me full price for a new two year plan. Now I paid for it because the switch seems like a device that breaks a lot - I barely played with this one and it got stuck in an endless boot loop - but now I've paid twice for a two year plan and am only covered for 3 years. I should have gotten four years or a partial rebate on the first two year plan I purchased. It said two year repair plan - not one time coverage plan. Other than the ridiculousness of the charging and/or not refunding the partial unused portion of the plan - the execution of the plan was great. Though the geek squad rep did tell me that I need to take the switch out of the dock every once in a while so it doesn't over charge - which also seems ridiculous as the device is meant to be docked as well as played with without the dock and I only used the dock it came with.

I had to return my Samsung headphones because they were not working for the left side and I was able to replace them with ease.

So I don't typically Buy protection plans for most things but in some cases it's good to have because if something goes wrong for example with your laptop and it's even a day or two out of its warranty or screw than you have to end up getting another one unless you know someone that can fix it for you. For the price this is worth getting especially if you're spending over three or four hundred dollars on your laptop.

I have always purchased my electronics from Best Buy because of their great warranty and the geek squad. I believe the rules have changed. Before, if it were under warranty, it was under warranty 2 years. Now if you use it once, that cancels the warranty. My son needed the charging port replaced 2 weeks after he got his Switch and they replaced the part but now I still have almost 2 years and ZERO protection. I even asked to purchase another warranty and they declined. The other side of that is both times I went to geek squad, I had an appointment with a confirmation number and both times the representatives were rude and short. Neither wanted the confirmation number and both handled my product very carelessly. They did have it back within 2 weeks. Best Buy used to be my only choice, just because of their customer service and warranty, but that has changed.

I always opt for geek squad service if the item I purchase is over 200 bucks. If you don’t, you better think long and hard about if u wanna drop another 200 when you drop your device or just pay the geek squad 20-50 at time of purchase.

Best money ever spent. Full protection on my electronics and fast easy replacement and repair. If you buy something from Best Buy, ALWAYS get the geek squad protection. They will take such good care of you and do everything they can to make sure you are more than satisfied with your service. Just can’t say enough things about how wonderful this service is!!!

Excellent insurance policy for the price! It’s nice to have an extra security plan knowing if anything happens I am covered.

Buying anything expensive? The Protection Plan, if available, is imperative to buy! Peace of mind in case your expensive stuff takes a turn for the worse. Friend had a free upgrade when his TV went out because they have to give you comparable quality if the exact model is no longer available (assuming repair is not an option, most of the time it isn't)! I bought a plan for my latest Nintendo Switch purchase! So worth it, just in case...
