If you have the chance to add the warranty to your products, definitely do it!! It’s inexpensive and worth it. My product was defective after the year warranty with the manufacturer so I would have had to buy a new one. But with the warranty I purchased in store, I was able to go back and get my item replaced in store! The warranty’s vary per product, so make sure you leave knowing which one applies to your product!

I have used the protection plan only a few times for the PS4 and PS5 controllers I've bought, and in every instance where I needed to replace them (stick drift issues), I was given a replacement controller with no problem. However, my only minor inconvenience is that I wish it lasted a year longer since my recent controller lasted a few months after the plan expired. Overall, it's a solid purchase.

I would never buy an Elite controller without picking up the 2 year Geek Squad Replacement plan, I haven't a controller yet that hasn't started to show major wear n tear or worse yet a complete failure of mechanical operations in the Bumpers moreso over the triggers but mainly the RB (Right Bumper) and its the most frustrating thing in the world when your trying to fire a rocket and the button your pressing doesn't respond accordingly, even after 3 attempts so I pack all the controller parts up an take it back to BestBuy and they take care of me, no issues.

The insurance policy through Best Buy is the best policy out of all the major retailers. It’s essentially a no questions asked replacement of any defective device. I purchased an Xbox elite controller, after a while of heavy usage the controller had started to develop stick drift. I brought the controller and insurance information and was essentially told to get the replacement off the shelf. I ended up purchasing the policy on the replacement controller in case it also gets stick drift. I am very pleased with the policy and highly recommend people purchasing it with their electronics

If you ever had thoughts about getting the 2 year replacement plan on all product $75-$99, and decided not to, let me ask you this, Do you still have that product? Has it been less than 2 yrs? Are you noticing any performance loss, or weird bugs? If so did you get the 2 yr replacement plan? If you said, No, I’m sorry if you like that product you bought, and needing to get another one you will have to pay full price again. If you were smart and purchased the 2 yr replacement, no matter the situation with your high dollar product, you can take it back before the 2 yr replacement date expires and receive a replacement for no cost to you, or for a small onetime payment as your replacing your product for free, get another 2 yr replacement plan and continue the great service Beat Buy offers to all there customers, it’s a Win, Win.

Best protection out there. No questions asked other then the reason for returning the item. I highly recommend the protection. My kids have broken their controllers many times and its better to pay 30 over 75 every time.

I haven't had to use this yet, but Geek Squad has been wonderful with my other purchases/warranties so I trust there will be no issues with this.
