Some products are built to last and sadly others are built to last just long enough for the next models to drop so it’s important to research and know which companies do what. If you spend 8 hours a day using something then you probably need extra protection on it. Results vary from person to person. For instance, if you have a gaming channel, it doesn’t matter how gentle you are with your controller when you cut down 10000 trees a day in Minecraft you will wear out that stick and button and it will start to drift or stick on you and be useless for a clinch shooter game. Or if you’re a food guru fitness nut that eats 6 meals a day you probably use your blender way more than most people for shakes and food prep so it WILL wear out faster than advertised so it’s smart to pay a bit extra to get the 2 more years warranty where the guy with the gaming channel that only uses his blender once a month to make margaritas probably doesn’t need the extra protection. So think about it’s cost and how much of a problem it will be to replace if it breaks and decide what extension warranties are right for you.

Protection plans are must and a garuntee your product is always safe. Life throws mishaps your way so insure your hard earned money is safe. Always buy best buy protection!

BEST PURCHASE EVER!!!! I never realized how fast my son was going through controllers until we had to start using this warranty. He currently has the Xbox series X and previously had the Xbox 1. Well the controller is compatible with both consoles so I didn’t lose my control with the warranty, thank goodness. All he does is return the malfunction controller with or without the receipt (they can find the warranty under the phone number making it extremely easy if the receipt gets misplaced). Then when you get the new controller you purchase a new warranty for $20-25 and you are all set again. It has saved me alot of money. Did I mention how much I LOVE IT!!!

The best thing you can buy when you shop electronics. Local stores so you just stop by have your defective product exchanged or completely refunded minus the protection plan of course. Electronics are an investment for your entertainment so protect your money. I have had two 75 inch TVS replaced at no cost but another service plan. The tvs have been newer and better models so to me it’s a win win.

This was outstanding in case something happened to my product which it did. Was quick and easy to get a new replacement and had excellent customer service will definitely be buying more later on!

My son love these controllers and has several of them. Just brought him this one as one of his stockings stuff for Christmas. One advice that I have is! if you have anyone that is a hard gamer like my son put the warranty to protect for stick drift.

Always comes in handy with Xbox elite controllers.

The 2 year warranty in my opinion is a must especially if its a big ticket item. I have use their warranty exchange before and they do a great job. My experience my niece had accidentally snapped my headset earcup i took the item in for the warranty exchange the team was great and easy to talk with i had brought the item in its original box and everything it comes with I was able to get the same model or get store credit for a different headset i got new set and paid to renew the warranty for another 2 years

Works as advertised, bring the broken item into a Best Buy and they will replace it or give you a gift card of the same value so you can buy another of whatever you need. Say they stopped making the model and upgraded, you can get the upgrade!

We bought the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Xbox headset for my son. After two months, the mic quit. We invoked the Geek Squad plan. Four months later, headset number two gave up the ghost. We're now on headset number three, about two months in. Both headsets had microphone failure. The headphones themselves were flawless -- great for music and such, but if your friends can't hear you, what good are they. Thankfully I was able to get the headsets replaced quickly in store. Very happy!

Geek Squad protection is like car insurance. Don't drive your expensive electronics without it. I used to spend $60 on a new controller every few months when my triggers or my joysticks stopped worked. A $20 Geek Squad protection plan changed that. Now when they break in a few months, I can count on Best Buy to swap it out with a working product, buy a new protection plan and keep it moving. For items that experience wear and tear, there's nothing better.
