First time I get frustrated with a Best Buy protection plan.
I had originally a GoPro 9 and after used it under water mic started muffling and sometimes no sound at all. I went to my nearest Best Buy and with the protection plan they provided me with a store credit since the same camera was not in stock. I jusr paid the diffrence and went with a GoPro 10. Now just 11 months after, I’m having the same problem and came to my nearest store and needing my camera for an upcoming trip and they want to keep the camera for about 3-4 weeks to fix it or determine the next step. Basically same thing as sending to the manufacturer. I asked if there was a manager available to assist with option and the geek squad rep declined calling a manager, however he did suggested for me to buy another one for my trip and return it when I’m back from it. Really? I told him that will be wrong from my part to get something, use it and then return it.

I like this protection plan and usually get it with any recorders and cameras - but especially GoPro Cameras. It's best for that. I also recommend getting the 4 year plan too!

I would get this on any electronic product, I updated the firmware on a GoPro Hero 4 Silver and it would not respond, I took the camera to Best Buy and with little questions, he told me to go get another one. I went and found out they did not sell the silver anymore, so I was able to get the Hero 5 Black. All I needed to do was to get another protection plan. Well that was a no brainer.
