I haven't used the protection for my speakers (what I originally bought it with) but I have used their services for other products and they repair your stuff or replace it promptly. You can usually get it for a good price too so I would recommend you to get the protection for items with so-so reviews or expensive items.

Geek squad are NO strangers to finding and resolving issues with low or hi tech gadgets/ devices! They're top notch, and one of the best group of geeks you'll meet this side of the Mississippi River!

Luckily for me I never had to use it, but it's worth paying for knowing I have the protection in case I need it.
