    Best Buy stands behind their products so I always buy the protection plan. Many people feel that the plans are a waste of money but they are wonderful if you have a problem with a product. I have bought many plans and never used them but on the other hand I have had plans on larger purchases that ended up being a tremendous product to invest in for the future of my purchase. I always spend the few extra dollars for my protection and peace of mind.

    My previous TV went out no picture or sound. I had a service tech come out to my house and looked over what was going on. He had to order parts for my TV. Once the parts was delivered to my house he came out a second time (both times were free of charge). The TV still would not work. So with the warranty, I got the price that I paid for the TV in a Best Buy Gift Certificate. I then purchased my new TV and still had money left over on my gift certificate. Also the service tech that came to my house was very knowledgeable and helpful. Very pleased

    I was a little reluctant at 1st to spend $450 for a 5 year warranty for my Samsung - 85" Class Q70A Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV. After reading the customer reviews from the customers that didn’t purchase it really regretted not purchasing the warranty. I feel much more comfortable now that I purchased the warranty for my tv.

    Have been a Best Buy customer for over 20 years. They stand by what they sell and the Geek Squad is always there to help. Did not use them for my most recent purchase but would recommend them to assist in TV and surround sound installation to those that need it.

    I had problems with my other television and the geek squad helped me quickly replaced my television set in 2 days.i would definitely give this insurance A Big A.its a must have be safe with the geek squad.....

    I purchased the 5 year protection plan on a previous tv. At 4 years and 11 months, the picture started to go out. Geek Squad was fast to come out and diagnose. Unfortunately, they didn't make the part anymore to fix it, so they gave me a gift card for a comparable tv that is 5 years newer. It was a no brainer to buy this protection for my next TV.

    This is the best protection for all home electronics. We recently had to use it on a Large Screen TV (58 inch). The TV had a great picture, but kept having sound problems. After we had the Geek Squad out for a 3rd time in 2 years , we were given a fair credit on the unit and upgraded to a Sony 58 inch.

    Geek squad comes through again. This is the 2nd time that this warranty has replaced a very expensive TV with another very expensive TV. Very much worth the cost of the warranty. Sony warranty would not have covered the burn in issue on my former OLED. Geek squad replaced with no questions asked.

    All I can say is buy the plan even if you think it is not needed..Best Buy protection stands behind its warranty and they are super easy to work with. If not for them the tv replacement I had to do after my new Samsung tv went out I would cost a lot more than what was spent on the protection plan.

    The Geek Squad was excellent, but the TV is the problem. At present, the problem has not been resolved. The Hisense H5500G 43" Android LED Smart Tv demonstrates poor picture quality. The picture is often slightly blurred or temporarily cleared. This product is not acceptable. However, it is this Tv not all of them. Apparently, there is a defect.

    Highly recommend signing up for the Geek Squad. Whenever I have tech issues, I can easily contact them and get help over the phone or make an appointment to see someone in person. They really do help you try to resolve computer issues and answers your questions. I also contact Best buy corporate for geek squad help and everyone was so professional and nice.

    Hopefully I never have to use my geek squad protection, but I have peace of mind knowing it's there if I ever need it! I've been shopping at Best Buy as long as I can remember and they've always treated me good!

    It was for a peace of mind I bought the protection plan, but I'm a bit skeptical as to the coverage detail that the sales rep told me that "ANY problems with the TV, I can get an exchange for same model TV or if not available, can get full refund on the TV with credit issued on bestbuy gift card", which does not seem so as I am reading a lot of different reviews about the coverage for this service. I guess I have to be content for the fact that I am definitely covered for repairs (which I am also finding reviews saying that coverage doesn't repair internal screen problems?), but would be nice for the sales person to be better informed or be honest about the coverage, not conning the customers for their own sales quote.

    We buy this on every TV we buy. Hopefully we won't need it on the new TV! We did use it on our previous TV The Geek squad spent a couple of hours trying to find out what was wrong. Once they figured it out, they fixed it quickly. Very efficient!
