I got my first Geed squad protection plan on insignia bid screen TV in California. When I started to have problems I contacted them and described the problem which they quickly determined was a faulty part they quickly made a house call to replace the part and the TV is currently working great. My current plan I purchased a computer which they updated frequently at no charge.G

After going through 3 DVD players in 12-18 months, I purchased the protection plan for the 4th one I bought. I could not be more pleased. It is the best purchase I ever made, The 4tgh DVD player stopped working and took it in to Best Buy and it was replaced with just a few simple questions. I thought it would be a long drawn out process, but it is not. I went and picked out my new DVD player and it was replaced. I did not take the power cord or the remote in originally, that was the only catch I found, you have to return everything in the box, except paper work.

I usually don't purchase this (essentially insurance) on smaller items. However, for items such as true 4K players where the technology is new and product is largely unproven, especially the inaugural model, and where the technology is very sensitive and high digital content, it makes smart sense to purchase the protection. Especially when the equipment will be in an enclosed space in the entertainment center. Outside of lightning and power surges, the next worst thing for sensitive electronics is heat.

This protection plan is a great deal and a great bargain when initially purchased. Once it runs out, they hound you to renew the plan for a "not so reasonable" price.The cost per year, what ever the amount of years they want you to purchase it for, is NOT in my opinion a good deal. They attempt to sway your decisionby telling you what the costs "would" be for each "possible" thing that may go wrong, BUT, when comparing what you MAY pay for a new one, it varies. (In MY opinion)

In the past I had purchased the extended protection plans and never felt disappointed or regretted that choice. Because on several occassions I had return certain items that didn't work properly to the store for a brand new exchange or they fixed the item a no extra cost to me. It's a saving in its self and very convenient. What's even more wonderful for items that couldn't be brought back to the store, they would come to my home to service.

BestBuy has a professional Team for Installation and they did a great job with all my Installations. There protection plan is a gem because they really take care of their customers. I would recommend this to everyone. I would never think anyone other than Best Buy specially for appliance purchases. Very good service and trouble free installation. Thank you Best Buy we love you. We like your guys dressed up professionally and courteous with their customer centric attitude. I am a big fan of Best Buy total tech support and plan to keep it every year.

I purchased the 2 year Standard Geek Squad Protection policy when I had services done on my computer when it "froze" and would not work. The Geek Squad was able to fix the computer and clear out some malware in the system. Everything was going great until someone hacked into my system. I took it in to the Geek Squad and they fixed everything again - at no charge because I had this policy!!

I rarely buy anything without an extended warranty. I can't remember what I paid for this and if I did, BB probably would not print it. I'm sure it was less than 20% of the purchase price. Great insurance for failures, which would usually occur in the first year of ownership.

This is the best insurance to have. I had it on a Fridge a bought from Best Buy and for a DVD player. I had to bring the player in after having it for over 2 years and the eek Squad was not able to fix it so they let me choose one of equal value, with no depreciation cost or anything. It was easy and i was able to get a better and up to date model. Geek Squad is the best think.

I ALWAYS buy protection plans on all products from Best Buy because they are well worth it! Best Buy has proven to be an honest company and replaces/repairs any items that I've been told I could bring back. I would definitely continue shopping at Best Buy mostly because of the great customer service I've received regarding the security of purchasing great quality products.

If you think you shouldn't buy a protective plan then your wrong. Best buy doesn't charge much for there plans. It is well wroth buy a protective plan. For a 100.00 dollar blu ray player it only cost me 20 dollars. And it protects everything. 20 dollars for four years well wroth the money. Now if anything happens I get a new player. Must get the plan.

I never purchase devices without an extended warranty. This warranty was thankfully purchased with the Samsung - BD-J5700/ZA. Thankfully because the warranty will allow me to exchange the defective player for a new player. I recommend the extended warranty for anything that is eligible for an extended warranty.

I always purchase the Geek Squad protection plan offered by Best Buy on all of my purchases. You never know when you will need this protection. Best Buy has technicians that are have a very pleasant attitude and are very knowledgeable. Turnaround time for repairs or replacement is quick. Many local store locations make it convenient.

Not all products out there hold up over time. Even quality manufacturers have the occasional bad one. I've had to use my Geek Squad protection before. They were VERY helpful and when needed simply replaced the bad product. I purchase the protection EVERY time.

While I have not needed to use these services for the product I just bought, I have had to use the Geek Squad services before. They have always taken care of my needs and I will not have a major purchase without it. Geek Squad protection is one of the main reasons I purchase all of my electronic devices at Best Buy.

My old BluRay sucked (bought it off the clearance rack at BB) and this one ROCKS! Since every device on my TV setup is smart, I didn't need wireless streaming of netflix or any smart features. This unit is their bottom of this line model because of the lack of features. However, the BluRay works flawlessly, which is exactly all I was looking for.

Arrived on time with products; made recommendations on how best to enhance sound from existing equipment. Since I had a Harmony remote account, they used my account to setup remote and it works better than if I had done it myself. When they departed the area was like they had never been in my home. Extremely pleasant and professional

if anything goes wrong you be forced to go through manufacture warranty. which only last for a year. if you hard core into movies and use your blue ray player. you going to put ware and tear into this player. it will save you money in the long run to buy the extended warranty. you will save yourself a lot less stress and headache.

I don't remember what it was for. I didn't like GeekSquad 10years ago, they seemed snappy and rude. But last I interacted with one at my local store they seemed nice and respectful. Aiming to help as best as they could without making me feel like an idiot.
