    Not quite sure I am convinced these are worth the cost. In 2 cases over the last 15 years have I ever used one and it wasn't really worth it. The product was outdated and I simply chose to upgrade to the newer version.

    Bought a 38 bottle wine cooler weighing about 85 pounds. There is a very chemical smell. So I call the GeekSquad to repair it. Spent 50 minutes on the phone, been transferred to 5 different persons. To finally be said "no in home services because it is not a large appliance. You have to go to the store". ... for me 85 pounds would qualify for large appliances. Basically $49.99 for no service....

    I purchased the fridge in March, along with a standard 2-year Geek Squad protection ($21.99). Soon serious frosting developed around the freezer door, which made it almost impossible to open it. I inquired about the problem at Best Buy Cambridge store. The Geek Squad explained I need to call the national service hotline (800-433-5778). When I called the hotline, an agent told me that I had to take the fridge myself or ship it to a local store to have the problem examined.
