MAKE SURE to thoroughly read how to properly take this test! The best time to take this test is 30 minutes after you wake up. DON'T do anything. No drinking. No washing your teeth. No smoking. Nothing that can alter the saliva in your mouth!

I have done one through ancestry that has changed their methodology so my son and I decided to try another system. Since we’re both adopted. I will be honest, I don’t have the results yet, and it takes more time than others, IMO, that’s a good thing. It was easy, the directions were precise, and well written. We’ll see the results in April.

You spit in a tube and send it off after registering your tube online. You wait awhile to get results and find out just how different everyone in your family is. Genetics are so interesting. The only downfall is this package doesn't include a health report based on your sample, but you can add it for $100 more on the website.

I got this for my husband for Father's Day and was excited for him to try it as he has always thought he was mainly two ethnicities. Come to find out he has a completely different ethnicity than his family was even aware of.

23 and Me is a fine way to determine your lineage. The response/turnaround time is very quick and the report is quite comprehensive. It does take a detailed eye and patience to follow the lineage, but it is well worth the effort!

I got this for a friend that was curious you know how people always say people are on mixed with certain backgrounds, the elders.if you're open-minded you will want this test to learn who what you truly are and be okay with it

I bought 5 of them, it worked for 4 of us, but do the 5th person 23andMe was unable to find enough DNA through the spit, sent it twice & after we got a notification saying that if we ever tried doing it again we wouldn’t get our money back because the results are just simply unidentifiable. 4/5 works

After 6 weeks I am told I will be getting my results. I had emailed the customer service and their response was quick and satisfying. While waiting for my results I did their question surveys and read other interesting things they provided links to. Some of my family has used 23and ME and are satisfied. I believe I will be also!

This is as all heck to find out where I done come from.

Alot of ppl think this tells you where your ancestors lived exactly, however what it does do is tell you where your chromosome lines up with ppl of the past. So technically yes most likely your ancestors lived there
