The best investment I made was buying my camera. I knew anything could happen to it but having it insured gave me peace of mind. If it stops working, I can easily get it fixed and having protection on anything is a must because you can get help to fix it without stressing.

Why wouldn't you get this? Technology is advancing constantly. Products wear out if used frequently. We are human and tend to misplace, break, or loose items. These comments have one thing in common, and that is the need to find security that you will have a replacement for any of these reasons above. **note - that you COULD get a newer model to replace your old item (after 1-3 years) ONLY IF it is damaged, unrepairable, un-replaceable, and that model is out of stock. NOT just because you want the newest thing in the market**
Best Buy offers the best warranty that can guarantee you coverage if your item even has any damage on the (example) screen! Other business manufacturers will NOT offer you that coverage! They only warrant specifics. And with Best Buys customer service, you don't have to wait for long; they immediately assist you with your needs and send you on your way without a long wait time!
Don't quote me, simply ask a Best Buy representative on what their warranty covers, and you'll see why it's a great deal to pay a little more for its security. It feels great to know you are investing in safety for your "special" item.

(Insurance plan for a high-end mirrorless camera)
This insurance plan has a great upside for photographers who will be outside and in the elements. Fair warning though, while the staff and service from Best Buy is impeccable, the actual sub-contractor who does repairs can be spotty. I brought in my camera to specifically get only a basic wet-sensor cleaning done and after two weeks I received the camera back with dust still on the sensor and the entire camera memory erased. With higher end-cameras where the user can customize settings and download applications, the contractor's consistent use of a factory reset can lead to hours of tedious work to reset the camera as desired. The staff at Best Buy however were more than helpful in rectifying the issue and ensuring they receive top marks for customer satisfaction.

I had bought a Nikon 750 camera and loved it up to the day I accidentally dropped it while it was in an unzipped camera backpack. That was a very sad day. I took the camera to BestBuy Geek Squad and it was sent it immediately. The only catch is that you need to call the store to schedule an appointment. It was gone for 2 weeks when I was contacted and notified that it was not repairable. My only complaint was that I was given an email from Geek Squad to provide more information to the repair person before the repair could be made. I had called the provided number and got the run around for about 2 hours. Finally, I was put in contact with the repair company and they gave me the details. From there, it was easy. I stopped by the Best Buy store, got my initial purchase amount refunded and then was able to purchase a new camera. Thank you Best Buy.

It’s a good plan to have for any product that’s over $200. I’m always scared that I’ll break or lose something expensive and insurance like this helps me keep of peace of mind since it offers replacements and security. Definitely a must get it on anything with high value.

Decided to buy the extra protection for the new camera that I bought for my daughter for Christmas. It was a good price for what it covers. So far we haven't had to use it but if we do need to we have it.
