    Love this lens!! I had been looking to get a 50mm lens, and when I saw this one at best buy I got it. I mean the price was right, and the guy working there gave me all the information I need to know about it. It still is taking the great photos it was meant to.

    Best Buy's Geek Squad Services are always great, and this protection is always a plus on these type of purchases because you never know if your item can break down, maybe from an accidental fall, water damage, etc. We just have to be patient with the Geek Squad members, as sometimes it make take a few days for your item to get fixed, seen, etc., as they get busy too, but for sure they always get the job done.

    I recommend the Geek Squad warranty for anything having to do with electronics and camera's. I love that I get a cleaning every year for my Sony Digital Camera. Knowing my camera is updated and cleaned before vacation season is comforting and I know I will get the best performance possible. Also if my camera has an issue I can have it sent in and back usually within the week. I love the replacement security also of knowing that if my a camera cannot be fixed it will be replaced.

    I dont buy any tech without buying geek squad protection unfortunately you cant get geek squad protection with Apple products but anything else its the best protection out!!

    When you need it, it's there. When you don't, it's still there! I truly believe that it's better to have it and not need than to need and not have it. This is precisely the comfort I am provided with this coverage. When you are putting your hard earned money into equipment that matters and has high dollar value, it only makes sense that you would want to protect it in case "life happens". It's worth the investment.

    I never needed the 1-Year Accidental Geek Squad Protection, However, I am confident with how I handle my precious equipment and would have had all my emotions shattered should it happen that I accidentally dropped. If the airline employees had broken my equipment my insurance deductible would be more than the cost of the 1-Year Accidental Geek Squad Protection.

    My last go around with an extended warrenty didn't work too well since the item was an open box and I got it for a huge savings. When I got home and the item worked for 2 days then stopped returning it was a pain in the a@@ also getting them to match the price in another open box was another pain. I still have issues with the second unit I got but after the hassle I'm putting it off for a while cause I'll likely have to downgrade to a lower level unit from the top of the line unit I have now if they are unable to repair it again.

    I was so thankful that I had purchased the two year Accidental Geek Squad Protection when I bought my Canon EF 100mm 2.8 Macro IS lens. 23 months after buying my lens, the Image Stabilizer stopped working. Best Buy couldn't fix it so they gave me a brand new lens.

    Geek squad is a great option for your devices, have had to use them many times without a hassle. I truly recommend this plan for all of your mid to high end purchases. They do not makes products like they use to and it’s great to have a plan to back you up when something goes wrong. They will come out to your home to install and fix your products.

    Got the geek squad insurance on the canon 80D and 24-70mm Lens. Turned both in because they started to have problems on our end. They fixed the 80D in no time and had it sent back to our house. The 24-70 was unable to be fixed and we received store credit for the price we paid for the lens which we did not know we were getting. Would highly recommend because you never know.

    Extremely wise decision. Think of it this way... Spend 1000 on a lens, and one of your aperture blades malfunctions, now you're out a grand. Or spend 150 more, and save yourself the grief of contacting the manufacturer, waiting on the phone for hours, just to find out they can't help you. Geek squad has walk in appointments, so you can talk to a human being, so all issues are resolved. "Still not buying the plan? 'oh no baby, what is ya doing?'"
