between Walmart and BestBuy the deals on TV's are awesome but as you can see I went with BestBuy this time around. had to buy another TV due to fact my child broke the previous one I had (Brand: Proscan) and I'm being as cheap as possible, so here I am. delivery was quick (2 days), and so far it's doing what it is supposed to do. the color is clear, sound is loud and got it at a decent price. I just hooked it up upon delivery so hopefully it won't give me any problems as time goes on. I didn't know whether to get this or the updated one but I didn't see any differences between the two (the prices were exactly the same) and choose this one based on it's reviews so let's hope it lives up to it's expectations. it is very light compared to the previous brand I had (Proscan) and you must be very careful not to touch the screen I assume that's super fragile as well (according to the instructions in the box).

I bought this TV for a small bedroom. I grew up with old black and white TVs with tubes, so the picture quality doesn't have to be outstanding for me. Don't get me wrong - I have no problem with the quality of this TV's picture. And the price was great!!

I purchased this TV during pre black Friday deal. It is a great tv. I originally bought it to place in the garage, but I ended moving it into my bedroom. For the price you cant beat it. I highly recommend this tv to anyone that is looking an inexpensive tv.

Bought for child’s Christmas present. TV has a very clear picture and is easy to operate. Setup was easy as well. I would recommend to everyone and they have the best of all time. Good luck finding one that will work as well for me same price.

I bought this for my parents and it has been a great tv for them. They love the picture, how easy it is to use and how thin it is. Thank you for having a tv of reasonable quality and a fantastic price. We don't all need the bells and whistles.

This is a great little TV for many uses. It is only 720p, but for my use case it gets the job done well. It has a limited number/type of inputs, but at this price point that is to be expected. Picture quality is very good considering the price and this thing is light as a feather.

I bought this TV for my 11 year olds room. He loves it, its light enough for him to move himself, good picture quality for his Xbox. My only concern is there are no buttons on the tv itself so volume and changing input may eventually be an issue when the remote is lost.

For the price you can't ask for a better tv. Sleek design. Nice picture. Only issue is if you are not hanging it on the wall , the stand has two feet ( instead if the more common single ). This can make it easily knock off a smaller tv stand.

I bought this TV to replace a 22-year-old, 32” analog Toshiba TV that bit the dust. In order to fittingly review this Insignia TV, I can only compare it to my now defunct Toshiba TV. Before the picture tube blew on my Toshiba TV, it had a great picture. In fact, its picture was as good as, if not better than, this Insignia TV, which was unexpected and somewhat disappointing, considering this Insignia TV is supposed to be an HDTV. What’s odd is that Best Buy advertises this TV as an HDTV, yet there is no mention of that on the box it came in or on the Quick Setup Guide, which leads me to believe that it’s just a standard digital TV. Whatever the case, it seems like a decent TV for the price, but it does have its idiosyncrasies. The biggest idiosyncrasies involve the Aspect Ratio settings. There are four settings: Normal, Zoom, Wide, and Cinema. The picture in the Normal setting only utilizes about 60% of the screen. In the Cinema setting, the picture is enlarged to the point that the screen crops the picture so that you can see only about 60% of it. Also, the picture is the least sharp in this setting. The Wide setting stretches the picture, distorting it. I don’t understand the point of the Normal, Cinema, and Wide settings, which are virtually useless. The only setting worth using is the Zoom setting, but the picture is not as sharp as in the Normal setting. It’s hard to tell how much, if any, of the picture is being cropped in the Zoom setting, but there is one big drawback to this setting. It crops off the program guide and program information displays, among others, from my cable TV provider (RCN), which is frustrating. Those displays only work with the Normal and Wide settings and are unusable in the Cinema setting. Who would want to have to keep changing the Aspect Ratio setting from Zoom to Normal or Wide to obtain cable TV provider program information. Another set of idiosyncrasies involves the Picture settings, of which there are six: Standard, Energy Savings, Game, Custom, Vivid, and Movie. The Movie setting is the only setting worth using in that it consistently renders the best resolution and truest color. I’m not going to detail the flaws of the other settings because there are too many to document, although the Game setting is an acceptable alternative to the Movie setting in some cases. The other four settings may work well with some programs and channels, but I haven’t found any yet. I found idiosyncrasies with the Game Mode settings, of which there are two: On and Off. If the Picture setting is set to any setting other than Game and the Game Mode setting is changed from Off to On, it changes the Picture setting to Game. If the Game Mode setting is set to Off and the Picture setting is changed to Game from another setting, the Game Mode setting is changed to On. When the Game Mode setting is changed to Off, it changes the Picture setting to any setting other than Game. A final idiosyncrasy I found is with ties, as in ties that men wear. If a guy on a program is wearing a striped tie with thin (as opposed to wide) stripes and he moves, even ever so slightly, the stripes shimmer. This was always a problem with analog TV’s. I don’t know if this is still a problem with digital and HDTV’s. If this shouldn’t happen with an HDTV but can happen with just a plain digital TV, then this Insignia TV is not an HDTV as advertised by Best Buy. If you buy this TV, just keep the Aspect Ratio set to Zoom and the Picture set to Movie. These settings seem to work best with most programs and channels. Don’t bother using the other settings. It’s not worth the aggravation. As for the sound, it’s good enough for my purposes, but there’s nothing special about it. I’m giving this TV a rating of four stars based on my belief that it’s just a digital TV, not an HDTV, and as such works well enough for my purposes. If it really is an HDTV, then I would rate it no more than three stars.

Purchased this TV for my bedroom. It's a nice size for a bedroom or small room. Great picture. Very good sound. Easy setup. I've had it for a month and have had no problems. Bought it during the black Friday sales. I really love it.

We bought this for the formal living room because we wanted another space to hoat friends but didn’t want the TV to dominate the room. This has a nice picture and is lightweight and slim enough to fit on our mantle.

Was looking for a TV for one of the bedrooms. Went on line and reviewed Best Buy sale paper. Saw this TV at a nice price and bought it. Took it home and hooked it up and it works great. Also bought the extended warranty for it. So far no issues with the TV.

We were looking for a small, compact television for our son as he went off to college. Looked at a couple of different models and sizes, but this one stood out for it's size, price and features. Was afraid it might be too big for a college dorm room but after setting it up on his desk, it fit nicely in the space. Was a quick and simple set up procedure right out of the box. His school provides cable services to the dorms and we were able to simply plug and play during set up. We were lucky to catch this model on sale and for the price it is a great TV. Had enough inputs for the cable, streaming device, and his gaming system. Overall, this television fits nicely where needed and has all the right features for a great price.

Well, I had been meaning to buy a 32 in TV, but lightning ran in on my old 24-in, so had to shop for new. No choice. I found this one on line, purchased, and picked up at local store the next day. Was easy to set up, and played fine on a basic indoor antenna. Then, I got a new cable box (also victim to lightning), and had some trouble getting the TV to show a full rectangular picture. A brief call to the Insignia help line, and the nice lady explained that I needed to set it up for 'aspect ratio' to get full picture. I do not pay for HD channels, but this is a stunning picture, whether on an antenna or plain digital cable. Now, I need to shop for a new DVD player, and may also choose Insignia for that. Great product; good help line, too.

An old 29 inch TV that we had in the MBR went kaput. Decided to replace with the slightly larger 32 inch Insignia. It was a great choice. It has a great picture. The discounted price was fantastic.

Simple set-up. Great price and value. We paired it with a Sony BDP-S3700 (streaming Wi-Fi) Blu-ray player to essentially make it a "smart TV." Works great for a small space. I would recommend it!
