I use it in a room without a cable connection and the Roku works great. Some apps even allow you to watch live TV as long as you have a cable subscription.

This is a great tv for the price. Roku works well, although a little slow. The viewing angles are not the best, but for under $200 on sale it couldn’t be beat.

TV is good and meets our needs for being in a home gym. It's a little weird booting to the Roku platform but that is why we got it, to have access to all of the apps.
