Great product. Roku TV is a great feature. The picture is clear and it comes with a wide range of video streaming services. There is also an option to cast a screen from your laptop or android device. Overall, I highly recommend this product.

Please do not make the mistake of saving that extra $100 and buying this abomination of a product. Just go with a more established brand like Samsung or Sony Ever since I brought this TV, it hasn't functioned properly for 2 days straight. and because this TV is under 42 inches, Best Buy does not do In-Home servicing and only do In-Store servicing. I do not own a car and so, taking the TV to the store everytime there was an issue, was so painstaking Here is the list of issues I have had with the TV 1) The remote stopped working within 1 week of purchase. Tried using new batteries. Didn't help. Had to go to the store to get a replacement 2) I hate using the remote's arrow keys for typing a lengthy movie title, so I always prefer using the Roku app but the app just doesn't detect the TV despite being connected on the same network. Again, Insignia's solution was "go to the store with your TV" 3) After 3 weeks of purchase, the TV started rebooting randomly. One minute I am watching the penalty shoot-out of a soccer game and next minute, the TV is restarting. Software update, factory reset. Nothing helped 4) Today, after unplugging the device for fixing the reboot issue, the TV just doesn't detect any Wi-Fi networks and now its just a sitting piece of junk. Insignia customer service's genius solution for all my issues is always "do a factory reset". So everytime I do that, I need to reinstall all my apps and login to each one of them. I would sincerely request anyone considering buying this TV to drop the idea altogether and spend that extra $100-150 in buying some other TV

Purchased this TV after my old Insignia TV died after about 10 years of use. I use only Roku to watch TV so this TV is perfect. Set up was super easy and have had no issues whatsoever. Delivery was faster than expected.

    Ok for the money

Bought this tv to upgrade my bedroom tv and fit perfect. I like the size and the features. Remote is a little odd but with a cable box it's no big deal. Picture quality is good on certain things and only ok on others. Major pros is features and price. My major cons are the sound is only average and the screen size always plays HD cable in a smaller aspect ratio in auto. Had to put tv in zoom to fill whole screen. If you don't mind watching a smaller screen with the black bars around it you should just save a bunch of money and buy a 24" tv. If it wasn't for the aspect issue this would be a good tv. I will be returning this TV today unfortunately.

Good Mid-Range TV with a 2 major fault

Pros: Well priced Easy Setup Built-in Roku Good Picture (for what it is) Cons: No Audio Out Number Keys on Remotes don't work Before I begin, this fault is easily handled and solved by having an optical cable. That said, for those of you with older hardware for sound, steer clear. For those of you looking for a well priced ($250 or less) 1080p TV with built in Roku and a form factor to fit say a bedroom or dorm room without causing major issues. Look no further, I can recommend this TV. It provides good, if not perfect, picture quality, has a good warranty (not that I used mine), and sports some nice features. For those of you without sound ready for this TV, I recommend Insignia's 39 Watt Soundbar and a Logitech Harmony remote. That's my setup and it works great.

You will not find a better TV for $200. It is light, easy to move, set up, and use. The Roku functionality is superb. The picture is bright and clear. I have found no drawbacks for this television.

Good TV for the price. The only issue is it needs an Ethernet port. WiFi is sketchy at best. Unless you have the TV set right next to your router or booster, it loses signal at times or has a very weak signal.

Def should of read the reviews before buying. I got this because of the price and it's a pretty good size. I don't have cable or wifi just yet so I'm only viewing local channels, don't know if that's the reason why it's so laggy. I'm not a fan of the remote. My mom's elderly and she doesn't know how to work it. A remote with numbers would be nice for future models and a guide to see what shows are up next. I gave 3 stars because I don't like that it freezes and restarts. It can do that a few times a day. I think I might exchange it.

Great TV for a great price. I haven't checked out everything yet, but so far I'm happy with what I've seen. My only disappointment was not so much with the product, but with Best Buy. I bought an open box Geek Squad Certified TV. When I got the TV it was missing a remote. Great that Best Buy inspected it to make sure everything works, but they forgot to make sure everything was there. I reached out to them and the problem is resolved, but the experience was disappointing.

    Requires Two Remotes

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Nice picture, poor sound. Biggest issue is that if you use a cable box, this TV will require two remotes when turning on. When TV is turned on, you are taken to the Home page, where you have to select what you want to watch. For cable users, the means that you have to select the "Cable Box" icon before you can watch any cable programing. This can only be done with the remote that came with the TV. A programmable remote won't allow you to make this selection. It would be nice to be automatically be taken to a default device when turning on.

Loving cutting the cable. Use this TV for ROKU, Free to Air, and Tablo for recording. The TV is big enough to view from across the room but not to big to clutter the room. Also, great price.

Broken day 14; 15 day return policy - be careful!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased this TV after reading all the wonderful reviews here. It worked great for the first two weeks but out of nowhere a bright pink vertical line appeared on the right half of the TV on the 14th day I had it. Best Buy has a very tight 15 day return policy if you don't buy a warranty, so I would've been stuck with this TV had it happened two days later. Not to say this happens with all Insignia TVs, but it happened with mine. And for that reason I wouldn't risk purchasing this product unless you get an extended warranty with it. Though, if you do that it probably won't be worth it. Had this not happened I would have given the TV a 4-star review. My only critique was the Roku aspect - it's slower than I thought. For example, scrolling through Netflix on my PS4 is almost immediate, but on Roku there's a serious lag. Since returning the TV I found another off-name-brand 43 inch, 4K, Smart TV for only $20 more on a competitor's site. Though it was refurbished (Best Buy won't price match - I tried), it came with a 2-year warranty... So all in all, I'd search - there are some better TVs out there in this price range if you go digging for them whether it's on Best Buy or another site.

Unfortunately we bought this tv for its smart capabilities. Come to find out the internet connection cuts out about 90% of the time. Apparently im not the only one with this problem either. Yes i tried a wifi extender & yes ALL my other devices work great on my broadband wifi network. Ended up just using the bluray player to stream. Outside of this issue, functionality and picture quality are great. Good luck.

    Good short term tv

I've had this TV for over a year now. For the first 8-10 months I had no complaints; it was a great TV for our bedroom. As cord cutters it is nice to just have 1 remote for the bedroom. As many reviews have pointed out, the remote has it's cons, but for us only needing 1 remote for the Roku and tv easily outweighed the cons. Around the 10 month mark the tv started to show some quirks. At times when we turn the TV off, the volume will continue to play for 10-20 seconds even though the screen is off. The overall sound quality has also declined. More often than not, voices of characters are significantly deeper than what they should be. The tv itself has frozen a couple of times and taken almost a minute for it to respond to the remote. I have really enjoyed having this TV, but I have some serious doubts about how much longer it is going to hold up.

I bought this tv for my parents. I wasn't planning on getting the Roku version, but it was on sale so I upgraded to this tv. The picture is very crisp and a very slim tv. TV works great. I have an Insignia tv in my bedroom and would be another when my living room TV needs to be replaced.

You CAN connect this TV to ethernet

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought one of these TVs in Sept 2016 and I've been really happy with it. When I first set it up, I was watching some 90's content from Amazon and it was acting quirky, but it hasn't done that since. My other reservation was that it has no ethernet port, but I was able to connect it to ethernet by using a Plugable 2.0 ethernet to usb adapter. Just plug and play. If you want to watch 4k content, sitting up close, then get a 4k TV, but for the content currently available, this TV is perfectly suitable.
