I bought the original 3Doodler on Kickstarter back in 2012 or 2013, whenever it came out. I’ve bought about every version since then besides the Pro. Even the 3Doodler Flow started to overheat on me, and the plastic insides were melting while I tried to make things. The Pro eliminates ALL of those issues. This baby is smooth as butter and can run for quite some time. Albeit, it is a little louder than I anticipated, but the magnetized backing to un-clog filament, and overall seamless functioning makes up for the noise 10-fold. If you’re an artist or 3D enthusiast, just get the Pro and save yourself the trouble. This thing is incredible, and the set itself comes with a multitude of excellent different filament materials to test out. I use mine for artist projects, home maintenance, gifts… just about everything I can possibly think of a use for it, this pen has succeeded in assisting.
Bezos sucks but Amazon has some good filaments that work well and are reasonably priced. I’m thankful I bought my pen through Best Buy with my membership to ensure I’ve got coverage over my tool for quite some time.
