Depends on the item and warranty type, but most of best buy's warranties are top tier and painless to deal with if ever needed.

Crew took care of installation and explained how to use the system. Were very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them

Best Warranty thats around for electronics. I would never buy electronics without warranty from bestbuy. You never know when something will break. They will honor it.

The Geek Squad Protection comes in handy for electronics that one would expect to have greater than a one-year life span. It is easy to take any defective item that is covered back.

I purchased it for my icemaker, glad I did. But, I still had to use the manufacturer's warranty first when it broke down after 6 months. After receiving the new one from the factory, it lasted 4 months. I would think that an expensive ice maker would last longer. I took it back to Best Buy and used my protection plan. It was well worth it. I received a full refund for the ice maker because they couldn't replace or repair it.

Useful for protecting my home appliances beyond what the manufacturer warranty covers. I have pets so it is good that it covers accidental damage.

I will always buyt the Geek Squad warranty on items that are likely to break over time. It's come in handy!
